A sales tax category is used solely to group products together for sales tax purposes. For information on setting up sales tax categories, see Sales Tax Category Maintenance.
Note A product can belong only to one sales tax category.
There can be one or many sales tax categories per sales tax jurisdiction.
Example A company could set up the following sales tax categories: Food, Automobiles, and Clothes.
