In certain industries, ship-to addresses (for example, labs) are common to unrelated customers, and therefore, it would be burdensome to set up and maintain the addresses for each customer. By setting up a shared address in Shared Address Maintenance, you can set up an address once and use it for any customer when entering orders in Order Entry.
