Question: How does the inventory adjust hold work?
Answer: You may need to import tracking numbers and/or add freight charges before you inventory adjust pick demands in Confirmed Pick Demand Inventory Adjust. The inventory adjust hold enables you to indicate pick demands should not be inventory adjusted (the point of no return) until these tasks have been accomplished.
You can enable inventory adjust hold for specific shippers in Shipper Maintenance, using the Inventory Adjust Hold check box. When this check box is selected, any pick demand assigned to the shipper is put on inventory adjust hold when the pick demand is confirmed. This check box prevents the pick demand from being inventory adjusted.
To take a pick demand off of inventory adjust hold, perform one of the following:
Import a tracking number for the pick demand in Package Import.
Enter a tracking number in the Tracking # column in the grid on the Advanced Packages tab in Pick Demand Confirm.
Complete a bill of lading with the pick demand on it.
Release the pick demand using Pick Demand Adjust Hold Release.
