Purpose

Overview

Use Pick Demand Confirm after a pick demand has been printed and products need to be picked in the warehouse. When the products have been picked, you need to confirm whether or not the products were picked as stated on the pick demand. You also have the option to associate additional charges with the pick demand, and enter packaging information for the shipment. Click the OK button in the ribbon at any point to confirm the picking information (note that this accepts the information on all tabs). You can also automatically print a packing slip or an invoice after the shipment is confirmed (for set up information, see Location Maintenance). For more information, see Automatic Pack Slips From Ship Confirmation.

Note Pick demand confirmation can also be performed using Wireless Warehouse. For more information, see Wireless Warehouse - Picking.

Confirming a Pick Demand

Select the shipping location and pick demand number you want to confirm. You can also select the order number to see only pick demands for a particular order. All the products on the pick demand appear in the Items to Be Picked grid.

If the pick demand was picked as is, meaning the quantity and bin on the pick demand were the actual quantity and bin, select a line item and click the As Is button in the ribbon. If you need to make adjustments, select the line item and click the Pick button in the ribbon. This will open the Pick Demand Product Selection window, which allows you to indicate the quantity picked and the proper bin for the product. This allows you to select partial quantities from several bins. In that window, click the Exit button in the ribbon to return to Pick Demand Confirm.

Packages

The software allows you to keep track of packages for a particular pick demand. In the Packages tab, enter the package weight and tracking number (optional). Click Enter to add the package. The Delete button will remove a package from the list. The Total Weight field at the bottom of the tab displays the weight of all the packages.

Note The Packages tab is only enabled if advanced packaging is turned off. For information on turning advanced packaging on or off, see Advanced Packaging FAQ.

Additional Charges

You can add charges to a pick demand that were not on the original order. On the Additional Charges tab, select an existing additional charge type, which is defined in Order Entry Additional Charge Maintenance. The definition will include whether it is a percentage or amount difference, and whether it will be added or subtracted from the total. When you have selected a valid type, you can edit the definition for this use by changing the amount/percent or +/- option. You may enter the amount or percent, and click the Enter button to add it to the list of additional charges for the pick demand. Click the Delete button to remove an additional charge from the pick demand.

Note Adjusting the additional charge type does not overwrite the type definition. The change will only affect the pick demand you are currently working on. Note also that you cannot define a new type here. For information on defining a new additional charge type, see Order Entry Additional Charge Maintenance.
