Purpose

Create an alternate delivery date when a customer’s normal route delivery falls on a holiday.

Overview

Use Fleet Delivery Route Holiday Maintenance to set up holiday routes for use with an in-house delivery system. If your company uses an in house fleet delivery system, sometimes a route’s normal delivery date(s) fall on a holiday. Typically, routes need to be re-scheduled to the day before or after this holiday. In Order Entry, if the initial required date is a defined holiday date, the required date will automatically be changed to the alternate delivery date.

Creating Route Holiday Alternate Delivery Dates

To create a route holiday alternate delivery date:

  1. Enter a route in the Route field.

  2. Click the New button in the ribbon.

  3. Enter the holiday date in the Holiday Date field.

  4. Enter the alternate delivery date in the Alt. Delivery Date field.

  5. Enter a description in the Description field.

  6. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The holiday alternate delivery date is created.

Click this button to close the Fleet Delivery Route Holiday Maintenance window.

New

Click this button to create a new holiday alternate delivery date.

Update

Click this button to update the selected holiday alternate delivery date.

Delete

Click this button to delete the selected holiday alternate delivery date.

OK

Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

First

Click this button to display the first holiday alternate delivery date.

Prev

Click this button to display the previous holiday alternate delivery date.

Next

Click this button to display the next holiday alternate delivery date.

Last

Click this button to display the last holiday alternate delivery date.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Route

Enter a route, or click the Lookup button to select a route. For information on setting up routes, see Fleet Delivery Route Maintenance.

Description

This field displays the description of the selected route.

Holiday Date

Enter the date of the holiday that requires delivery rescheduling, or click the drop-down arrow to select the date.

Sun-Sat

These check boxes are selected for delivery days for the selected route.

Alt. Delivery Date

Enter the alternate delivery date for the holiday, or click the drop-down arrow to select the date.

Description

Enter a description or comments for the holiday alternate delivery date.
