Purpose

Define the information stored in history tables.

Overview

Use History Control Maintenance to limit the information that you store so that you only keep the information that you need to run your business.

Generally, you store historical information by calendar month dates, as well as by accounting period dates. If the calendar month coincides with your accounting period dates, or you do not refer to sales information by month or by period, then you are storing information that you do not need.

Also, if you do not refer to sales information by day or by week then you can turn off one or more of the daily history options.

This window gives you the ability to turn off storage of historical data to avoid extra processing time and minimize required disk space. By default, all the check boxes in this window are selected.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the History Control Maintenance window.
Update	Click this button to update the history settings.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the Update button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the Update button in the ribbon.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
EIS Daily Sales Rep History	Select this check box to store EIS daily sales representative history data in the eis-daily-agent table. This data is displayed in Sales Representative Analysis.
EIS Customer A/R Credit History	Select this check box to store EIS customer accounts receivable credit history data in the eis-cust-ar and eis-monthly-cust-ar tables. This data is displayed in Customer Aging and Credit Inquiry.
EIS Daily Sales Rep by Customer History	Select this check box to store EIS daily sales representative by customer history data in the eis-daily-agent-cust table. This data is displayed in Sales Representative Analysis.
Monthly Sales Tax History	Select this check box to store monthly sales tax history data in the oe-hist-sales-tax table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. The history data is displayed in Sales Tax Report. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the Period Sales Tax History check box.
EIS Daily Sales Rep by Product History	Select this check box to store EIS daily sales representative by product history data in the eis-daily-agent-prod table. This data is displayed in Sales Representative Analysis.
Monthly Transfer History	Select this check box to store monthly transfer history data in the oe-hist-trans table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the Period Transfer History check box.
EIS Period Sales Rep History	Select this check box to store EIS period sales representative history data in the eis-period-agent table. This data is displayed in Sales Representative Analysis.
Period Sales Tax History	Select this check box to store period sales tax history data in the oe-hist-sales-tax table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. The history data is displayed in Sales Tax Report. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the Monthly Sales Tax History check box.
EIS Period Sales Rep by Customer History	Select this check box to store EIS period sales representative by customer history data in the eis-period-agent-cust table. This data is displayed in Sales Representative Analysis.
Period Transfer History	Select this check box to store period transfer history data in the oe-hist-trans table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the Monthly Transfer History check box.
EIS Period Sales Rep by Product History	Select this check box to store EIS period sales representative by product history data in the eis-period-agent-prod table. This data is displayed in Sales Representative Analysis.
EIS Fill Rate History	Select this check box to store EIS fill rate history data in the eis-fill-rate-calc table. This data is displayed in Order Fill Rate Analysis.
EIS Daily Customer History	Select this check box to store EIS daily customer history data in the eis-daily-customer table. This data is displayed in Customer Analysis.
EIS Period Customer History	Select this check box to store EIS period customer history data in the oe-hist-cust table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. The history data is displayed in Customer Sales Report. This option is used to improve performance of Customer Analysis for date ranges exceeding one period. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the EIS Monthly Customer History check box.
EIS Daily Product History	Select this check box to store EIS daily product history data in the eis-daily-product table. This data is displayed in Product Analysis.
EIS Period Product History	Select this check box to store EIS period product history data in the oe-hist-prod table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. The history data is displayed in Product Sales Report. This option is used to improve performance of Product Analysis for date ranges exceeding one period. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the EIS Monthly Product History check box.
EIS Daily Product Statistic History	Select this check box to store EIS daily product statistic history data in the eis-daily-prod-stat table. This data is displayed in Turns and Earns Analysis.
Period Customer Product History	Select this check box to store period customer product history data in the oe-hist-cust-prod table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. The history data is displayed in Customer Product Sales Report. This option is used to improve performance of the Customer Analysis and Product Analysis for date ranges exceeding one period. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the Monthly Customer Product History check box.
EIS Monthly Customer History	Select this check box to store EIS monthly customer history data in the oe-hist-cust table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. The history data is displayed in Customer Sales Report. This option is used to improve performance of Customer Analysis for date ranges exceeding one month. Period Commission History	Select this check box to store period commission history data in the oe-hist-comm table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. The history data is displayed in Commission Inquiry. EIS Monthly Product History	Select this check box to store EIS monthly product history data in the oe-hist-prod table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. The history data is displayed in Product Sales Report. This option is used to improve performance of Product Analysis for date ranges exceeding one month. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the EIS Period Product History check box.
Period Product Statistic History	Select this check box to store period product statistic history data in the oe-hist-prod-stat table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the Monthly Product Statistic History check box.
Monthly Customer Product History	Select this check box to store monthly customer product history data in the oe-hist-cust-prod table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. The history data is displayed in Customer Product Sales Report. This option is used to improve performance of the Customer Analysis and Product Analysis for date ranges exceeding one month. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the Period Customer Product History check box.
Monthly Commission History	Select this check box to store monthly commission history data in the oe-hist-comm table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. The history data is displayed in Commission Inquiry. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the Period Commission History check box.
Monthly Product Statistic History	Select this check box to store monthly product statistic history data in the oe-hist-prod-stat table. Records in this table are stored by period-type of Month or Period. Note To control the size of the database and to improve performance, select this check box only if you clear the Period Product Statistic History check box.
Forecast Sales History	Select this check box to store forecast sales history data in the forecast-sales-history table. Clear this check box if you don’t use DRP. This data is displayed in Product DRP Management.
