Purpose

View task audit trail information.

Overview

Use Lifecycle Audit Trail Inquiry to display audit trail records for product lifecycle management tasks. An audit trail record is created every time a task is changed.

You can select to view tasks for a specific or all workflow types, workflow levels, workflow ID's, workflow definition codes, teams, assigned users, reference numbers, and/or dates. You can also select to view specific tasks or tasks created or updated by all or specific users.

Exit

Click this button to close the Lifecycle Audit Trail Inquiry window.

Show Data

Click this button to display task audit trail data on the View tab based on selections on the Select tab.

Notes

Click this button to display Notes Entry, which allows you to view notes for a selected product lifecycle management task. The icon for this button includes a check mark if notes exist for the selected task. This button is only available if the View tab is displayed.

Attachments

Click this button to display Attachment Entry, which allows you to view attachments for a selected product lifecycle management task. The icon for this button includes a check mark if attachments exist for the selected task. This button is only available if the View tab is displayed.

Open

Click this button to open an attachment for a selected audit trail record for a selected task. This button is only available for file path format tasks, and only enabled for audit trail records for which a file was attached.

Select Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

All (Workflow Types)

Select this check box to view task audit trail data for all workflow types. This check box is selected by default.

Workflow Type

Enter a workflow type for which you want to display task audit trail data, or click the Lookup button to select a workflow type. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

All (Workflow Levels)

Select this check box to view task audit trail data for all workflow levels. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you clear the All (Workflow Types) check box.

Workflow Level

Enter a workflow level for which you want to display task audit trail data, or click the Lookup button to select a workflow level. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

All (Workflow ID's)

Select this check box to view task audit trail data for all workflow ID's. This check box is selected by default.

Workflow ID

Enter a workflow ID for which to view task audit trail data, or click the Lookup button to select a workflow ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

All (Definition Codes)

Select this check box to view task audit trail data for all product lifecycle management workflow definition codes. This check box is selected by default.

Definition Code

Enter a product lifecycle management workflow definition code for which to view task audit trail data, or click the Lookup button to select a workflow definition code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

Description

This field displays the description for the product lifecycle management workflow definition code entered in the Definition Code field.

All (Tasks)

Select this check box to view audit trail data for all tasks. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you clear the All (Workflow Levels) check box.

Task

Enter a task for which to view task audit trail data, or click the Lookup button to select a task. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

All (Teams)

Select this check box to view audit trail data for all product lifecycle management teams. This check box is selected by default.

Team

Enter a product lifecycle management team for which to view task audit trail data, or click the Lookup button to select a team. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

Name (Team)

Enter a product lifecycle management team name for which to view task audit trail data, or click the Lookup button to select a team name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

All (Assigned Users)

Select this check box to view audit trail data for tasks assigned to all users. This check box is selected by default.

Assigned User

Enter a user ID to view only task audit trail data of tasks assigned to that user, or click the Lookup button to select a user ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

Name (Assigned User)

Enter a user name to view only task audit trail data of tasks assigned to that user, or click the Lookup button to select a user name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

All (Creation Users)

Select this check box to view audit trail data for tasks created by all users. This check box is selected by default.

Creation User

Enter a user ID to view only task audit trail data of tasks created by that user, or click the Lookup button to select a user ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

Name (Creation User)

Enter a user name to view only task audit trail data of tasks created by that user, or click the Lookup button to select a user name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

All (Update Users)

Select this check box to view audit trail data for tasks updated by all users. This check box is selected by default.

Update User

Enter a user ID to view only task audit trail data of tasks updated by that user, or click the Lookup button to select a user ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

Name (Update User)

Enter a user name to view only task audit trail data of tasks updated by that user, or click the Lookup button to select a user name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

All (Reference Numbers)

Select this check box to view task audit trail data for all reference numbers. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you clear the All (Workflow Types) check box.

Reference Numbers From

Enter the first reference number in a range of reference numbers for which to view task audit trail data, or click the Lookup button to select a reference number. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

To (Reference Number)

Enter the last reference number in a range of reference numbers for which to view task audit trail data, or click the Lookup button to select a reference number. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

Change Date From

Enter the first date in a range of change dates for which to display tasks, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This defaults to the current date.

To (Date)

Enter the last date in a range of change dates for which to display tasks, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This defaults to the current date.

View Tab Fields and Buttons

Tasks

This grid displays detailed audit trail information for tasks based on the criteria selected on the Select tab after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. By default, this grid is sorted by update date and update time with newer audit trail records at the top of the grid.
