Purpose

Set up workflow definition groups for product lifecycle management.

Overview

Use Lifecycle Definition Group Maintenance to create, edit, and delete workflow definition groups. You can then assign workflow definitions to workflow definition groups in Lifecycle Definition Maintenance.

Example You create workflow definition groups of workflow definitions for each of your largest product lines.

Creating Workflow Definition Groups

To create a new workflow definition group:

Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter an ID for the workflow definition group in the Definition Group field.
Enter a name for the workflow definition group in the Name field.
Enter a detailed description of the workflow definition group in the Detailed Description field.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The workflow definition group is created.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Lifecycle Definition Group Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new workflow definition group.
Update	Click this button to update the selected workflow definition group.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected workflow definition group.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
First	Click this button to display the first workflow definition group.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous workflow definition group.
Next	Click this button to display the next workflow definition group.
Last	Click this button to display the last workflow definition group.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Definition Group	Enter a workflow definition group ID, or click the Lookup button to select an existing workflow definition group ID.
Name	Enter a description of the workflow definition group.
Detailed Description	Enter a detailed description of the workflow definition group.
