Purpose

View picking requirements and replenishment quantities for a zone.

Overview

Use Pre Pick Management to display picking requirement and replenishment information for a picking zone, so you can determine the products that need to be moved from a replenishment zone. This window is designed to provide an estimate of picking requirements for the entire day (not a specific wave), so that you can ensure that orders can be picked.

Viewing Picking Requirements

To view picking requirements:

Enter the shipping location prefix or name for which you want to view picking requirements.
If you want to view products replenished from a specific zone, clear the All From Zones check box, and enter the zone in the From Zone field. You can also use the List button to select multiple zones.
Enter the zone for which you want to view picking requirements in the To Zone field, or click the List button to select multiple zones.
If you want to view picking requirements for orders with a specific required date or a range of required dates, clear the All Required Dates check box, and enter the date or range of dates.
If you want to view picking requirements for a specific product code or range of product codes, clear the All Product Codes check box, and enter the product code or range of product codes.
Select the type of unit of measure in which you want to display picking and replenishment quantities.
Click the Show Data button in the ribbon. The Results tab displays products that need to be picked and inventory quantities for the products in both the picking and replenishment zones.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Pre Pick Management window.
Show Data	Click this button to display pick activity on the Results tab, based on the criteria selected on the Select tab.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Shipping Location	Enter a shipping location prefix or name for which to display picking requirement and replenishment information, or click one of the Lookup buttons to select a location prefix or name. This defaults to the default shipping location for your user ID.

Select Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
All From Zones	Select this check box to display picking requirement and replenishment information for all replenishment zones. This check box is selected by default.
From Zone	Enter a replenishment zone for which to display picking requirement and replenishment information. This field is only enabled if you clear the All From Zones check box.
List (From Zone)	Click this button to display Zone List, which allows you to select specific replenishment zones for which to display picking requirement and replenishment information. After you select zones, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All From Zones check box.
To Zone	Enter the picking zone for which you want to display picking requirement and replenishment information, or click the Lookup button to select a zone.
List (To Zone)	Click this button to display Zone List, which allows you to select specific zones for which to display picking requirement and replenishment information. After you select zones, the check box to the right of this button is selected.
All Required Dates	Select this check box to display picking requirement and replenishment information for all required dates. This check box is cleared by default.
From (Required Date)	Enter a required date for which to display picking requirement and replenishment information, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. If you want to display picking requirement and replenishment information for a range of required dates, enter the first required date in the range. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Required Dates check box.
To (Required Date)	Enter the last required date in a range of required dates for which to display picking requirement and replenishment information, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. If you want to display picking requirement and replenishment information for a single required date, you can leave this field blank. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Required Dates check box.
All Product Codes	Select this check box to display picking requirement and replenishment information for all product codes. This check box is selected by default.
From (Product Code)	Enter a product code for which to display picking requirement and replenishment information, or click the Lookup button to select a product code. If you want to display picking requirement and replenishment information for a range of products, enter the first product code in the range. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Product Codes check box.
To (Product Code)	Enter the last product code in a range of product codes for which to display picking requirement and replenishment information, or click the Lookup button to select a product code. If you want to only display picking requirement and replenishment information for a single product, you can leave this field blank. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Product Codes check box.
U/M	Select whether to display quantities in the selling, stocking, or display unit of measure for each product/location.

Results Tab Fields and Buttons

Description

Products

This grid displays products that need to be picked based on the criteria selected on the Select tab after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. Double-click a product to display Inventory Matrix Inquiry, which allows you to view detailed inventory information for the product.

This grid includes the following columns:

Product Code - This column displays the product code for each product that needs to be picked in the picking zone.
Product Name - This column displays the product name for each product that needs to be picked in the picking zone.
Quantity To Pick - This column displays the quantity of each product that needs to be picked in the picking zone. Double-click a quantity for a product to display Quantity To Pick Inquiry, which allows you to view quantities on specific orders for the product.
Quantity to Move - This column displays the quantity that needs to be moved from the replenishment zone to the picking zone (and that is not already included on bin moves).
Insufficient Quantity To Move From Zones - This check box is selected for a product if both the replenishment and picking zones do not have enough inventory for picking.
U/M Code - This column displays the unit of measure for each product. This is based on the selected U/M option on the Select tab.
From Zone On Hand - This column displays the quantity on hand for each product in the replenishment zone(s).
From Zone Available - This column displays the quantity available for each product in the replenishment zone(s).
To Zone On Hand - This column displays the quantity on hand for each product in the picking zone.
To Zone Available - This column displays the quantity available for each product in the picking zone.
To Zone Bin Moves - This column displays the quantity already in bin moves created to move each product to the picking zone.
To Zone Not Available - This column displays the quantity of each product in bins that are not available for picking in the picking zone.
From Zone Not Available - This column displays the quantity of each product in bins that are not available for replenishing each product in the replenishment zone(s).
