Price Books for Order

To use Price Books for Order, click the Price Books button in the ribbon in Order Entry, Order Edit, or Order Inquiry.

Purpose

View and select price books for an order.

Overview

Use Price Books for Order to review and/or change the price books used for price calculations on an order. You can also change the hierarchy of the price books. Prices at the top of the hierarchy are used before prices lower in the hierarchy (unless the system or customer is set up to use the best price).

Note The hierarchy defaults to the customer's price books, and then the price books for the customer's price book group. For example, if the hierarchy for the customer is A, B, and C, and the hierarchy for the customer's price book group is D, C, B, and A, the hierarchy for the customer's orders is A, B, C, and D.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Price Books for Order window. This button is only available if you are in inquiry mode.
OK	Click this button to save changes to the price books for an order and close the Price Books for Order window. This button is only available if you are creating or editing an order.
Cancel	Click this button to close the Price Books for Order window. This button is only available if you are creating or editing an order.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Price Book	Enter a price book to use for the order, or click the Lookup button to select a price book. For information on setting up price books, see Price Book Maintenance.
	Click this button to add the price book entered in the Price Book field to the Selected Price Books grid.
	Click this button to remove the selected price book from the Selected Price Books grid.
	Click this button to remove all price books from the Selected Price Books grid.
Selected Price Books	This grid displays price books for the order.
	Click this button to move a price book up in the hierarchy in the Selected Price Books grid. Prices at the top of the hierarchy are used before prices lower in the hierarchy (unless the system or customer is set up to use the best price).
	Click this button to move a price book down in the hierarchy in the Selected Price Books grid. Prices at the top of the hierarchy are used before prices lower in the hierarchy (unless the system or customer is set up to use the best price).
