Routing Interface Pick Demand Export

Purpose

Export pick demand data to routing software.

Overview

Use Routing Interface Pick Demand Export to export pick demand data to an external file that you can import into third-party routing software. For information on setting up a routing interface for your routing software, see Routing Interface Maintenance.

Exporting Pick Demand Data

To export pick demand data:

  1. Enter the shipper for which you want to export pick demand data in the Shipper ID field.

  2. Select filter criteria for the pick demands you want to export.

  3. Enter the folder path into which you want to export pick demand data in the Output Directory field.

  4. If you want to export using Scheduling Assistant, select the Schedule radio button, then click the Schedule Job button in the ribbon, and set up the schedule for exporting in Task Schedule Options. When you are finished setting up the schedule, click the OK button in the ribbon in the Task Schedule Options window.

  5. Click the Export button in the ribbon to export data. Pick demand data is output to the folder you specified in step 3. The export is completed.

Click this button to close the Routing Interface Pick Demand Export window.

Export

Click this button to start the export process.

Schedule Job

Click this button to display Task Schedule Options, which allows you to schedule the export process using Scheduling Assistant. This button is only available if you select the Schedule radio button.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Shipper ID

Enter the shipper for which to export pick demand data, or click the Lookup button to select a shipper. This defaults to the shipper entered in the Default Pick Demand Export Shipper ID field in Routing Interface Maintenance.

All Shipping Locations

Select this check box to export pick demand data for all shipping locations. This check box is selected by default.

From (Shipping Location)

Enter the first shipping location prefix in a range of shipping location prefixes for which to export pick demand data, or click the Lookup button to select a shipping location prefix. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Shipping Locations check box.

To (Shipping Location)

Enter the last shipping location prefix in a range of shipping location prefixes for which to export pick demand data, or click the Lookup button to select a shipping location prefix. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Shipping Locations check box.

List (Shipping Locations)

Click this button to display Location List, which allows you to select multiple shipping locations for which to export pick demand data. This button is only enabled if you clear the All Locations check box. If you click this button and select locations, the check box to the right of the button is selected.

All Sales Locations

Select this check box to export pick demand data for all sales locations. This check box is selected by default.

From (Sales Location)

Enter the first sales location prefix in a range of sales location prefixes for which to export pick demand data, or click the Lookup button to select a sales location prefix. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Sales Locations check box.

To (Sales Location)

Enter the last sales location prefix in a range of sales location prefixes for which to export pick demand data, or click the Lookup button to select a sales location prefix. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Sales Locations check box.

List (Sales Location)

Click this button to display Location List, which allows you to select multiple sales locations for which to export pick demand data. This button is only enabled if you clear the All Locations check box. If you click this button and select locations, the check box to the right of the button is selected.

All Waves

Select this check box to export pick demand data for all waves. This check box is selected by default.

From (Wave)

Enter the first wave in a range of waves for which to export pick demand data, or click the Lookup button to select a wave. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Waves check box.

To (Wave)

Enter the last wave in a range of waves for which to export pick demand data, or click the Lookup button to select a wave. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Waves check box.

List (Waves)

Click this button to display Wave List, which allows you to select multiple waves for which to export pick demand data. This button is only enabled if you clear the All Waves check box. If you click this button and select waves, the check box to the right of the button is selected.

All Routes

Select this check box to export pick demand data for all routes. This check box is selected by default.

From (Route)

Enter the first route in a range of routes for which to export pick demand data, or click the Lookup button to select a route. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Routes check box.

To (Route)

Enter the last route in a range of routes for which to export pick demand data, or click the Lookup button to select a route. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Routes check box.

List (Routes)

Click this button to display Route List, which allows you to select multiple routes for which to export pick demand data. This button is only enabled if you clear the All Routes check box. If you click this button and select routes, the check box to the right of the button is selected.

Output Directory

Enter the folder path into which to export pick demand data, or click the Lookup button to navigate to and select a folder. This defaults to the folder entered in the Pick Demand Export Path field in Routing Interface Maintenance.

Process

Select whether to export using Scheduling Assistant. If you select the Schedule radio button, click the Schedule Job button in the ribbon to specify when the task occurs.

Reprocess

Select this check box to export previously exported pick demands. Use this option if an export file is lost and needs to be regenerated.
