Purpose

Set up and maintain seasonal class codes.

Overview

Use Seasonal Class Maintenance to construct monthly seasonal indices used by different forecasting methods. A season class is optionally associated with product location records.

Note Use Seasonal Class Maintenance for mildly seasonal products (products that sell throughout the year and have several small seasonal peaks and valleys of demand). Radically seasonal products (for example, snow shovels) should use forecast methods specifically designed to handle radical seasonality (otherwise you will get misleading results). For more information, see DRP - Forecast Method FAQ.
