Maximum Units

Enter the maximum number of units that can fit in the carton based on the product unit of measure. The product unit of measure is entered for each product in the Product U/M field on the General tab in Product Maintenance. You should consider that products are not necessarily picked in the product unit of measure when you enter this value.

Example You enter 6 in this field. Product A's product unit of measure is Units and Product B's product unit of measure is case2. The carton can fit 6 units of Product A or 6 case2's of Product B. It can also fit a combination of the two products, such as 3 units of Product A and 3 case2's of Product B. However, if Product A is picked in case6's, the carton can only fit 1 case6 of Product A or 6 case2's of Product B.

Pallet

Select this check box to indicate the carton is actually a pallet. This is informational only.
