Purpose

Create customer rewards in the form of credit memos.

Overview

Use Customer Reward Create and Print to create credit memos using the service product set up for a specific rewards program. The credit memo should be reviewed in the system prior to printing and posting. You can also use Customer Reward Create and Print to review and make manual override adjustments for unusual situations.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Exit

Click this button to close the Customer Reward Create and Print window.

Show Data

Click this button to refresh data in the Results grid.

Create

Click this button to create credit memos for rewards displayed in the Results grid if the check box is selected in the Create Reward column.

Ribbon Batch Tab Buttons

Select

Click this button to display Select a New Batch, which allows you to select a previously created batch.

Open

Click this button to display Open a New Batch, which allows you to create a new batch.

Close

Click this button to display Close A Batch, which allows you to close a batch.

Edit

Click this button to display Edit A Batch, which allows you to edit an existing batch.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Batch #

This field displays the current batch number for credit memos to be created. A batch number is required for general ledger posting. To select a different batch number, click the Select button on the Batch tab in the ribbon. To create a new batch, click the Open button on the Batch tab in the ribbon.

Period

Click the Lookup buttons to select the period and year for general ledger posting. The period defaults to the current accounts receivable period.

Reward Program ID

Enter a customer rewards program ID, or click the Lookup button to select a customer rewards program ID. For information on setting up rewards programs, see Reward Program Maintenance.

Name (Reward Program)

Enter a customer rewards program name, or click the Lookup button to select a customer rewards program name. For information on setting up rewards programs, see Reward Program Maintenance.

Customer Rewards Date

Enter the customer rewards date, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. The date defaults to today.

Reward End Date from

Enter the first date in a range of customer reward end dates, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This is used to select customers in programs that have ended.

To

Enter the last date in a range of customer reward end dates, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This is used to select customers in programs that have ended.

Display Options

Select Unissued, Issued, or Both. Unissued is selected by default. If you select Issued, you can view previous customer rewards history information.

Shipping Locations Prefix

Enter a shipping location prefix to use for the credit memo, or click the Lookup button to select a shipping location prefix. For more information on shipping locations, see Sales Location / Shipping Location.

Name (Shipping Location)

Enter a shipping location name to use for the credit memo, or click the Lookup button to select a shipping location name. For more information on shipping locations, see Sales Location / Shipping Location.

Sales Locations Prefix

Enter a sales location prefix to use for the credit memo, or click the Lookup button to select a sales location prefix. For more information on sales locations, see Sales Location / Shipping Location.

Name (Sales Location)

Enter a sales location name to use for the credit memo, or click the Lookup button to select a sales location name. For more information on sales locations, see Sales Location / Shipping Location.

Results

This grid displays the selected customer reward information. You can enter an override rewards amount and select whether to create the reward for each row. The grid includes the following columns:

  • Program ID - This column displays the rewards program ID.

  • Program Name - This column displays the rewards program name.

  • Customer Code - This column displays the rewards customer code.

  • Customer Name - This column displays the rewards customer name.

  • Start Date - This column displays the start date of the rewards program.

  • End Date - This column displays the end date of the rewards program.

  • Reward Level Name - This column displays the rewards level name.

  • Minimum Net Sales Amount - This column displays the minimum net sales amount entered for the rewards customer in Reward Customer Maintenance.

  • Maximum Returns Amount - This column displays the maximum returns amount entered for the rewards customer in Reward Customer Maintenance.

  • Maximum Returns % - This column displays the maximum returns percentage entered for the rewards customer in Reward Customer Maintenance.

  • Net Sales Amount - This column displays the actual net sales amount for the rewards period.

  • Qualified Returns Amount - This column displays the actual qualified return amount for this rewards period.

  • Qualified Returns % - This column displays the actual qualified return percentage for this rewards period.

  • Reward % - This column displays the reward percentage. If the customer’s net sales amount exceeds its minimum net sales amount, and its qualified returns amount is below the maximum returns amount, and its qualified returns percentage is below the maximum returns percentage, then this value is determined based on the setup in Reward Level Maintenance.

  • Bonus Rewards % - This column displays the bonus rewards percentage based on the bonus criteria set up for returns in Reward Level Bonus Maintenance.

  • Rewards Amount - This column displays the calculated rewards amount. This amount equals the net sales amount multiplied by the sum of the rewards percentage and bonus rewards percentage.

  • Override Rewards Amount - Enter a reward amount. This value is only used for unusual circumstances.

  • Create Reward - Select the check box in this column to create a credit memo or issue another reward. This check box is selected by default.

  • Reward Method - This column displays the reward method (Credit or Other). The credit reward method is used to create a credit memo. The other reward method is non-monetary (t-shirt, hat, etc.) Only the credit reward method is functional at this time.

  • Customer Currency - This column displays the standard currency used by the customer. If the customer has a currency other than the home general ledger currency, then the credit memo must be converted to that currency.
