Companion Product Import Format

The following tables list the format for importing a header or trailer record in Companion Product Import.

If this field is blank, it defaults to Default Selling.

If this field is blank, it defaults to Prompt.

  • Complete - The product quantity and companion product's quantities must ship complete (the remainder of line items on an order can ship by themselves).

  • Proportion - Product quantities can only be shipped with a proportionate amount of the companion product’s quantities.

  • Limit - Product quantities can be shipped in advance of companion product quantities, but not vice versa.

  • Independent - Product quantities can ship independent of companion product quantities.

If this field is blank, it defaults to Complete.

EXAMPLE You only want to give away a free product once for a companion product combination. To set this up, enter 1 for this field.

Enter Yes if companion quantities can be met by the total of ordered products in a companion class, or No if companion quantities must be met by a single ordered product in a companion class.

EXAMPLE Product A and Product B are in companion class X. If 10 units are sold, Product C is free. If Yes is entered for this field, customers can order 6 units of Product A and 4 units of Product B to get Product C for free. If No is entered for this field, customers must order 10 units of either Product A or 10 units of Product B to get Product C for free.

This field defaults to No, and is only used if CustClass or BookClass is entered for the Companion Type field (position 2).
