Set up valid color codes.
Display color information.
Use Color Maintenance to manage colors for products in the apparel (or similar) industry. A color code is associated with products on the General tab in Product Maintenance, and can be used in Order Entry to facilitate the entry of apparel (or similar) products. The color code is also used by the Business Intelligence module to analyze the performance of product lines, styles, sizes, and colors.
Note You cannot delete a color code if a product is associated with it.
You can also import color codes in Color Import.
To create a color code:
Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter the color code in the Color Code field.
Enter a name for the color in the Name field.
If you want to control the sequence of displayed color codes, enter a sequence number for the color code in the Sort Seq field.
If you know the National Retail Federation (NRF) standardized code and description for the color code, enter the values in the NRF Color Code and NRF Color Description fields.
If the color code will be used to construct product codes and names in Product Style Create, enter the values associated with the color code in the Product Code Creation Value and Product Name Creation Value fields.
If you do not want the color code to appear in Lookup windows, clear the Display in Lookups check box.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The color code is created.

Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon. |

Click this button to display the first color. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed. |

Click this button to display the previous color. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed. |

This grid displays products that are the selected color after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. Note This grid is cached to improve performance. You cannot sort, filter, group, graph, or summarize data in this grid. Double-click a product to display Product Maintenance, which allows you to view and update information for the product. Note If you are not authorized to use Product Maintenance, the Product Inquiry window appears instead, and allows you to view product information. |
Note This tab is disabled if you are creating, editing, or deleting a color.
