GDPR

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC. This regulation harmonizes the data privacy laws across Europe to protect and empower the European Union (EU) citizens' data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy.

GDPR came into force on May 25, 2018 with the primary aim of giving the control over their personal data back to the citizens and residents of EU.

In Apprise, personal data mainly includes addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers, and email addresses. To conform to GDPR, Apprise allows the users to:

• Manage consent from the data subjects to use their personal data in GDPR Maintenance.
• Erase stored personal data in Right to be Forgotten Management.
