Purpose

Set up and maintain goal seek units.

Overview

Use Goal Seek Unit Maintenance to view, create, edit, and delete goal seek units, which are used to group products for the DRP Goal Seek feature. This method of grouping products is optional and in addition to the standard method of grouping products by product category, product subcategory, product line, style, color, and size.

Note Goal seek units are only used for supplier goal seek rules if the Units radio button is selected in Supplier Goal Seek Rule Maintenance.

Creating Goal Seek Units

To create a goal seek unit:

Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter a unique code for the goal seek unit in the Goal Seek Unit Code field.
Enter a name for the goal seek unit in the Goal Seek Unit Name field.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The goal seek unit is created.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Goal Seek Unit Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new goal seek unit.
Update	Click this button to edit an existing goal seek unit.
Delete	Click this button to delete the currently displayed goal seek unit.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
First	Click this button to display the first goal seek unit.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous goal seek unit.
Next	Click this button to display the next goal seek unit.
Last	Click this button to display the last goal seek unit.

Enter the unique code for a goal seek unit, or click the Lookup button to select an existing goal seek unit code.
