Menu Path: General Ledger Journals Journal Entry Void
Void a journal entry that has not been posted.
Use Journal Entry Void to void a journal entry.
To void a journal entry:
If your company uses consolidation ledgers, verify the ledger ID for which you want to void a journal entry is entered in the Ledger ID field.
Enter the journal entry number you want to void in the Journal Entry # field. Information for the selected journal entry displays.
Click the Void Entry button in the ribbon. The Confirm Void Journal Entry dialog box appears, and asks you to confirm you want to void the journal entry.
Click the Yes button. The journal entry is voided.

Click this button to void the selected journal entry. When you click this button the Confirm Void Journal Entry dialog box appears, and asks you to confirm you want to void the selected journal entry. |

Click this button to display Journal Entry Detail, which allows you to view detailed information for the selected journal entry. |

Enter a journal entry number you want to void, or click the Lookup button to select a journal entry number. You can only void journal entries that have not yet been posted. |

Click the Lookup buttons to select the general ledger accounting period and year for voiding the journal entry. You can only select a valid, open period and year. |

Enter a ledger ID for the journal entry you want to void, or click the Lookup button to select a ledger ID. Note This field is only available if at least one consolidation ledger is set up. |

This field displays the currency for the journal entry amounts. |

This field displays the batch against which the selected journal entry was made. |

This field displays the amount of the journal entry. |

This field displays the comment for the journal entry. |

This field display the remark for the journal entry. |

This grid displays general ledger accounts, credits, and debits for the selected journal entry. |
