Purpose

Create, edit, and delete pallets.

Overview

Use Pallet Maintenance to create and maintain pallets, and the packages shipped on them.

Note Advanced packaging must be turned on in Customer Service Control Maintenance to add packages to pallets. A pallet must have at least one package on it.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button

Description

Exit

Click this button to close the Pallet Maintenance window.

New

Click this button to create a new pallet.

Update

Click this button to update the selected pallet.

Delete

Click this button to delete the selected pallet.

Print Labels

Click this button to display Shipping Label Print, which allows you to print package, pallet, or tracking labels for a pick demand, order, or bill of lading. This button is only available if you are not creating or updating a pallet.

OK

Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

First

Click this button to display the first pallet.

Prev

Click this button to display the previous pallet.

Next

Click this button to display the next pallet.

Last

Click this button to display the last pallet.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Shipping Location

Enter the location prefix for the shipping warehouse, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix. This defaults from the default shipping location entered for your user ID in User Extended Options.

Note A master bill of lading number can only be used for one shipping location.

Name

Enter the location name for the shipping warehouse, or click the Lookup button to select a location name. This defaults from the default shipping location entered for your user ID in User Extended Options.

All/Child BOL/Master BOL

Select whether to navigate by all bills of lading, child bills of lading, or master bills of lading.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Pallet ID

Enter a pallet ID, or click the Lookup button to select a pallet ID.

Pallet Tag #

Enter a pallet tag number, or click the Lookup button to select a pallet tag number. This number is assigned when a new pallet is created.

Hold BOL # on New

Select this check box to hold the bill of lading number for a new pallet.

Bill of Lading #

Enter a child bill of lading number, or click the Lookup button to select a child bill of lading number.

Master

Enter a master bill of lading number, or click the Lookup button to select a master bill of lading number. This field is only enabled if you select the Master BOL radio button.

Description

This field displays the description for the selected bill of lading.

Quick Entry/Browser Entry/Grid Entry

Select whether to add packages to a pallet using the Quick Entry feature or by selecting packages from a grid.

Selected Packages

Select whether to add packages to a pallet by UCC128 number, package, or product number. These radio buttons are only available if you select the Quick Entry radio button.

Order Number/Cust PO #/Pick Demand #

Select whether to display packages for an order number, customer purchase order number, or pick demand number. These radio buttons are only available if you select the Browser Entry or Grid Entry radio button.

UCC128 #

Enter a UCC128 number for a package you want to add to a pallet, or click the Lookup button to select a UCC128 number. This field is only available if you select the UCC128 # radio button.

Package #

Enter a package number for a package you want to add to a pallet, or click the Lookup button to select a package number. This field is only available if you select the Package radio button.

Product

Enter a product number for a package you want to add to a pallet, or click the Lookup button to select a product number. This field is only available if you select the Product radio button.

Qty

Enter a quantity of a product for a package to add to a pallet. This field is only available if you select the Product radio button.

Order Number/Cust PO#/Demand #

Enter an order number, customer purchase order number, or pick demand number for which to display packages, or click the Lookup button to select an order number, customer purchase order number, or pick demand number. These fields are only available if you select the Browser Entry radio button.

Show Packages

Click this button to display available packages based on the selected criteria. This button is only available if you select the Browser Entry radio button.

Available Packages

This grid displays available packages based on the selected criteria after you click Show Packages. This grid is only available if you select the Browser Entry radio button. To select multiple packages, hold down the Ctrl key, and click each package. To select a range of packages, hold down the Shift key, and click the starting and ending package.

Pick Demands

This grid displays pick demands based on the selected criteria after you click Show Packages. This grid is only available if you select the Grid Entry radio button. To select multiple pick demands, hold down the Ctrl key, and click each pick demand. To select a range of pick demands, hold down the Shift key, and click the starting and ending pick demand.

Clear Packs

Click this button to clear packages from the Available Packages grid.

Add

Click this button to add the selected package to the pallet. When you click this button, the package information is moved to the Selected Packages grid.

Add All

Click this button to add all packages in the Available Packages grid to the pallet. When you click this button, the package information is moved to the Selected Packages grid.

Remove

Click this button to remove the selected package in the Selected Packages grid from the pallet.

Remove All

Click this button to remove all packages in the Selected Packages grid from the pallet.

Selected Packages

This grid displays packages selected for the selected pallet. To select multiple packages, hold down the Ctrl key, and click each package. To select a range of packages, hold down the Shift key, and click the starting and ending package.

Pallet Weight

This field displays the total weight of the selected pallet.

Pallet Volume

This field displays the total volume of the selected pallet.

Pallet Packages

This field displays the total number of packages for the selected pallet.

BOL Weight

This field displays the total weight of the selected bill of lading.

BOL Volume

This field displays the total volume of the selected bill of lading.

BOL Packages

This field displays the total number of packages for the selected bill of lading.

BOL Pallets

This field displays the total number of pallets for the selected bill of lading.
