Enter, view, edit, or delete physical inventory tally sheets.
Use Physical Inventory Tally Sheet Maintenance to define and maintain physical inventory tally sheets. For information on consolidating tally sheets, see Physical Inventory Entry.
To create a tally sheet:
Enter a location prefix or name for which to create a tally sheet in the Location Prefix or Location Name field.
Enter a physical inventory ID for which to create a tally sheet in the Physical Inventory ID field.
Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter an ID for the tally sheet in the Tally Sheet ID field.
Enter the user that counted inventory for the tally sheet in the Count By field.
Enter the user that recounted inventory for the tally sheet in the Recount By field (if applicable).
Enter any notes for the tally sheet in the Notes field.
Enter inventory data for a counted product, and click the Enter button. Repeat for all products you want to include on the tally sheet.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The tally sheet is created.

Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon. |
Cancel |
Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon. |

Click this button to display the first physical inventory tally sheet for the selected physical inventory ID. |
Prev |
Click this button to display the previous physical inventory tally sheet for the selected physical inventory ID. |
Next |
Click this button to display the next physical inventory tally sheet for the selected physical inventory ID. |
Last |
Click this button to display the last physical inventory tally sheet for the selected physical inventory ID. |
History |
Click this button to display Tally Sheet Audit, which allows you to view an audit trail of changes for a selected tally sheet. |
Attachments |
Click this button to display Attachment Entry, which allows you to view and enter attachments for the selected contact. |
Notes |
Click this button to display Notes Entry, which allows you to view and enter notes for the selected contact. |
Unlock Tally Sheet Utility |
Click this button to display Unlock Tally Sheet Utility, which allows you to unlock tally sheets. |
Field or Button |
Description |
Enter a location prefix, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix. This defaults to the default shipping location prefix for your user ID. |

Description |
Enter an existing tally sheet code, or click the Lookup button to select an existing tally sheet code. When you create a new tally sheet, this field is disabled, and the tally sheet code is automatically assigned. |

Enter an ID for the tally sheet, such as an identification number from a preprinted count form. This must be unique for the physical inventory ID. |

Enter the user ID or name of the user that performed the inventory count for the tally sheet, or click the Lookup button to select a user ID. This does not have to be an Apprise user ID. |

Select this check box to retain the user ID in the Count By field after saving the current tally sheet. This allows you to enter multiple tally sheets for the same user. |

Enter the user ID or name of the user that recounted inventory for the tally sheet, or click the Lookup button to select a user ID. This does not have to be an Apprise user ID. |

This check box is selected if the displayed tally sheet was deleted. |

This check box is selected if the displayed tally sheet was processed. A tally sheet is marked as processed after all data for the tally sheet is consolidated in the associated physical inventory entry record. This check box is cleared if you edit a previously reconciled tally sheet. |

Enter notes you want to associate with the tally sheet. |

Select this check box to retain the notes in the Notes field after saving the current tally sheet. This allows you to enter multiple tally sheets with the same notes. |

This field displays the line item number if you select an existing line item for a tally sheet. |

Enter the product code of the product counted for the tally sheet, or click the Lookup button to select a product code. You can also enter a UPC or GTIN in this field to identify the counted product. |

Select this check box to retain the product code in the Product Code field after entering the line item. This allows you to enter multiple line items with the same product code. |

Enter the product name of the product counted for the tally sheet, or click the Lookup button to select a product name. |

Enter the unit of measure of the product counted for the tally sheet, or click the Lookup button to select a unit of measure. This defaults to the appropriate unit of measure if you entered a UPC or GTIN in the Product Code field that is associated with a specific unit of measure, or if only a single unit of measure set up for the product. |

Select this check box to retain the unit of measure in the Unit of Measure field after entering the line item. This allows you to enter multiple line items with the same unit of measure. |

Enter the bin that contains the product counted for the tally sheet, or click the Lookup button to select a bin. |
|
Select this check box to retain the bin in the Bin field after entering the line item. This allows you to enter multiple line items with the same bin. |

Enter the lot of the product counted for the tally sheet, or click the Lookup button to select a lot. This field is only enabled if you enter a lot-tracked product code or name in the Product Code or Product Name field. |

Select this check box to retain the lot in the Lot field after entering the line item. This allows you to enter multiple line items with the same lot. This check box is only enabled if you enter a lot-tracked product code or name in the Product Code or Product Name field. |

Enter the serial number of the product counted for the tally sheet, or click the Lookup button to select a serial number. This field is only enabled if you enter a product code or name in the Product Code or Product Name field for a product that is tracked by serial number. |

Enter the quantity of the product counted for the tally sheet. |
|
Select this check box to retain the quantity in the Quantity field after entering the line item. This allows you to enter multiple line items with the same quantity. |

Enter notes you want to associate with the product inventory record for the tally sheet. |

Select this check box to retain the notes in the Notes field after entering the line item. This allows you to enter multiple line items with the same notes. |

Click this button to finish entering the line item for the tally sheet. |

Click this button to save changes made to a tally sheet line item. |

Click this button to clear all fields for the tally sheet line item. |

Click this button to remove the selected tally sheet line item in the Line Items grid from the tally sheet. |

This grid displays line items for the tally sheet. If you are creating or updating a tally sheet, double-click a line item to edit it. |
