Menu Path: Purchasing Container Import Processing Setup Port Maintenance
Set up and maintain ports.
Use Port Maintenance to create, update, or delete ports of origin and destination ports for shipments. You can specify the ports for shipments in Shipment Management or import the ports in Shipment and Container Import.
To create a port:
Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter a code for the port in the Port Code field.
Enter the name of the port in the Name field.
Enter a brief description of the port in the Description field.
Enter a name that can be used to search for the port in the Search Name field.
If you want to track demurrage fees for containers shipping to the port, select the Track Demurrage check box.
Enter address information for the port.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The port is created.

Click this button to delete the selected port. You cannot delete a port if it is used for a customer's port selection rules. |

Enter the city of the port's address, or click the Lookup button to select a city. For information on setting up cities, see Postal Code Maintenance. This field can default from the postal code if the postal code is set up in Postal Code Maintenance. |

Enter the state or province of the port's address, or click the Lookup button to select a state or province. This field can default from the postal code if the postal code is set up in Postal Code Maintenance. This field’s label can be set up in Country Maintenance. For information on setting up states and provinces, see State and Province Maintenance. |

Enter the postal code of the port's address, or click the Lookup button to select a postal code. If the postal code is set up in Postal Code Maintenance, the City, Country, and State/Province fields are automatically entered when you enter the postal code. The format of the postal code is set up for the country in Country Maintenance, and can optionally be set up to be validated. |

Enter the country of the port's address, or click the Lookup button to select a country. The country controls the format and/or validation of the postal code, the format of the phone fields, and the label for the State/Province field. For information on setting up countries, see Country Maintenance. |

Enter the county of the port's address. |

Enter a phone number for the port. The format of the phone number is set up in Country Maintenance. |

Enter a fax number for the port. The format of the fax number is set up in Country Maintenance. |

Enter an email address for the port. |

Enter the address of the port's Website. |

Click this button to display the port's Website if the address for it is entered in the Website field. |
