You can create workflow definitions for the Product Lifecycle Management module to manage the data entry work that needs to be performed for workflows. Each workflow definition describes a process, which includes a series of tasks.
To create a workflow definition:
In Lifecycle Definition Maintenance, click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter a workflow type in the Workflow Type field.
Enter a workflow level in the Workflow Level field.
Enter a code for the workflow definition in the Definition Code field.
Enter a description of the workflow definition in the Description field.
Enter a detailed description of the workflow definition in the Detailed Description field.
Select a status for the workflow definition.
Enter a workflow definition group for the workflow definition in the Definition Group field.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The Lifecycle Definition Designer window appears and allows you to set up the diagram of tasks for the workflow definition.
Set up the tasks, sections, tabs, and flow of the workflow definition. For more information on setting up workflow definitions, see Using Lifecycle Definition Designer.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The workflow definition is created and can be assigned to workflows in Lifecycle Workflow Assignment.
