Menu Path: Warehouse Management Receipt Processing Receiving Labels Print
Generate receiving labels.
Use Receiving Labels Print to create and print receiving labels for different reasons. This window can be accessed directly from the menu, or indirectly through other windows. Labels can be generated for purchase orders, purchase order receipts, shipments, containers, blanket purchase order releases, and work orders. This program can be accessed directly from Work Order Confirm, Work Order Maintenance and Purchase Order Receipt (when prompted to print labels).

To apply to products as they are received into the warehouse |
Use for easy product identification throughout warehousing operations. |
To be sent to suppliers so the labels can be applied as the product is manufactured |
You want to output the labels to either a printer or to a file that can be sent via email to be printed offline (may be printed by someone who does not have access to Apprise). |
To generate labels, a label definition must exist in External Interface Maintenance. The system looks first for a label at the product level, then at the warehouse location level (if not found at the product level).
Rules for outputting labels are as follows:
When printing labels, the system needs to group each line on the grid to print by label type. Label type is first decided by looking at the label format on the product unit of measure at the location level, then at the product level. If no label type exists for the product then the location label is used. Any lines that do not have either a product label or location label defined will not print.
When outputting to a printer, the labels are generated and the label software is called once for each group of labels.
When outputting to email, the Email Address field displays. If the system ID is set up to use external email, then the Outlook address book should display otherwise it displays the Apprise list. The label text files should be generated and all of the files attached to the email. The user receiving the files will save them on their own hard drive and then generate labels through the appropriate label software.
