Receiving Labels Print

Menu Path: Warehouse Management Images\bluerarw.gif Receipt Processing Images\bluerarw.gif Receiving Labels Print

Purpose

Generate receiving labels.

Overview

Use Receiving Labels Print to create and print receiving labels for different reasons. This window can be accessed directly from the menu, or indirectly through other windows. Labels can be generated for purchase orders, purchase order receipts, shipments, containers, blanket purchase order releases, and work orders. This program can be accessed directly from Work Order Confirm, Work Order Maintenance and Purchase Order Receipt (when prompted to print labels).

Reason to Generate Label

Comments

To apply to products as they are received into the warehouse

Use for easy product identification throughout warehousing operations.

To be sent to suppliers so the labels can be applied as the product is manufactured

You want to output the labels to either a printer or to a file that can be sent via email to be printed offline (may be printed by someone who does not have access to Apprise).

To generate labels, a label definition must exist in External Interface Maintenance. The system looks first for a label at the product level, then at the warehouse location level (if not found at the product level).

Rules for outputting labels are as follows:
