Purpose

Cancel return order receipts.

Overview

Use Return Order Receipt Cancel to cancel a return order receipt generated in Return Order Receiving Entry. You can only cancel return order receipts for which inventory has not yet been adjusted in Return Order Receipt Confirm or Confirmed Pick Demand Inventory Adjust. Return order receipts are cancelled based on a specific shipping location.

Cancelling a Return Order Receipt

To cancel a return order receipt:

Enter a shipping location prefix or name in the Prefix or Shipping Location field.
Enter a return order receipt number in the Receipt # field. The line items for the receipt appear in the Items to be Returned grid.

Note If you want to use the Lookup button to select a receipt number, you can enter a customer code, name, or order number to filter the number of receipts displayed in the Lookup window.

Click the OK button in the ribbon. The return order receipt is cancelled. The status of the order number associated with the cancelled return order receipt is now Open. The cancelled receipt number associated with the order number also no longer appears on the Relationships tab in Order Entry. Since no adjustments of inventory have taken place during this process, the order number can be voided, or a new return order receipt number can be issued for that order.

OK	Click this button to cancel a receipt. This button is only available after you select a receipt.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel the cancellation of a receipt. This button is only available after you select a receipt.
As Is	This button is disabled in this window.
Return	This button is disabled in this window.
Notes	Click this button to display Notes Entry, which allows you to enter notes for a selected receipt. This button is only enabled after you select a receipt.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Prefix	Enter the location prefix of the shipping location for the return order receipt you want to cancel, or click the Lookup button to select the location prefix.
Shipping Location	Enter the location name of the shipping location for the return order receipt you want to cancel, or click the Lookup button to select the location name.
Receipt #	Enter the return order receipt number for the receipt you want to cancel, or click the Lookup button to select a return order receipt number.
Order Number	Enter an order number for which you want to cancel a return order receipt, or click the Lookup button to select an order number.
Customer Code	Enter the customer code of a customer for which you want to cancel a return order receipt, or click the Lookup button to select a customer code.
Customer Name	Enter the customer name of a customer for which you want to cancel a return order receipt, or click the Lookup button to select a customer name.
