Menu Path: Warehouse Management Module Setup  Shipping and Delivery Logistics Shipper Selection Rule Maintenance
Define how a shipper is automatically selected for a sales order.
Use Shipper Selection Rule Maintenance to create a shipper weight table based on a shipping location. These rules are to be used in conjunction with the shipper shipping zone table (set up in Shipper Zone Maintenance) and the shipper rate table (set up in Shipper Rate Maintenance).
The purpose of the shipper selection rules table is to predetermine the best shipping method based on the total shipping weight and the shipping warehouse location. It also provides default routes based on the shipping warehouse/weight combination.
Note The only time that these rules are used is when the shipper ID on the sales order is left blank. The assumption, when blank, is that you want the system to select the best shipper based on these rules.
For more information, see Freight Maintenance Overview.

Enter a location prefix or name in the Location Prefix or Name field.
