Purpose

Set up valid size codes.
Display size information.

Overview

Use Size Maintenance to manage sizes for products in the apparel (or similar) industry. A size code is associated with products on the General tab in Product Maintenance, and can be used in Order Entry to facilitate the entry of apparel (or similar) products. The size code is also used by the Business Intelligence (legacy) module to analyze the performance of product lines, styles, sizes, and colors.

Note You cannot delete a size code if a product is associated with it.

You can also import size codes in Size Import.

Creating Size Codes

To create a size code:

Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter the size code in the Size Code field.
Enter a name for the size in the Name field.
If you want to control the sequence of displayed size codes, enter a sequence number for the size code in the Sort Seq field.
If you know the National Retail Federation (NRF) standardized code and description for the size code, enter the values in the NRF Size Code and NRF Size Description fields.
If the size code will be used to construct product codes and names in Product Style Create, enter the values associated with the size code in the Product Code Creation Value and Product Name Creation Value fields.
If you do not want the size code to appear in Lookup windows, clear the Display in Lookups check box.
If you track VAT and want to enter VAT information for the size, click the VAT tab and enter VAT information for each country.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The size code is created.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Size Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new size. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
Update	Click this button to update the selected size. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected size. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Show Data	If the Main tab is displayed, click this button to display products for the selected size in the Related Products grid. If the Inquiry tab is displayed, click this button to display size data based on the selected criteria in the Results grid.
First	Click this button to display the first size. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous size. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
Next	Click this button to display the next size. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
Last	Click this button to display the last size. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Size Code	Enter a size code, or click the Lookup button to select a size code.
Name	Enter a size name, or click the Lookup button to select a size name.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Sort Seq	Enter the sequence number that controls the order of sizes in Lookup windows.
Product Code Creation Value	Enter the value to use for the size when constructing a product code in Product Style Create.
NRF Size Code	Enter the NRF standardized code for the size (if it exists).
Product Name Creation Value	Enter the value to use for the size when constructing a product name in Product Style Create.
Display in Lookups	Select this check box to allow the size to display in the size code Lookup window. Note This option does not affect the size code Lookup window accessed from Size Maintenance.
NRF Size Description	Enter the NRF standardized description for the size (if it exists).
Related Products	This grid displays products for the selected size after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. Note This grid is cached to improve performance. You cannot sort, filter, group, graph, or summarize data in this grid. Double-click a product to display Product Maintenance, which allows you to view and update information for the product. Note If you are not authorized to use Product Maintenance, the Product Inquiry window appears instead, and allows you to view product information.

VAT Tab Fields and Buttons

Note This tab is only available if Show is selected for the VAT Display Level field in Tax Control Maintenance.

Field or Button	Description
Country	Enter a country code for which you want to enter VAT information for the size, or click the Lookup button to select a country. For information on setting up countries, see Country Maintenance.
VAT Class Code	Enter a VAT class code associated with the entered country for the size, or click the Lookup button to select a VAT class code. For information on setting up VAT class codes, see VAT Class Maintenance.
VAT Exempt	Select this check box if the size is exempt from VAT for the entered country.
VAT Exempt Reason Code	Enter a VAT exempt reason code to explain why orders for the country are exempt from VAT, or click the Lookup button to select a VAT exempt reason code. For information on setting up VAT exempt reason codes, see VAT Exempt Reason Maintenance.
Add	Click this button to add the country-specific VAT information to the size.
Remove	Click this button to remove the country-specific VAT information from the Selected VAT Class grid.
Selected VAT Class	This grid displays country-specific VAT classes and reasons for the size.

Inquiry Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
All (Sizes)	Select this check box to display size information for all sizes. This check box is selected by default.
Size Code	Enter a size code for which you want to display information, or click the Lookup button to select a size code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.
Name	Enter a size name for which you want to display information, or click the Lookup button to select a size name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.
All (NRF Size Codes)	Select this check box to display size information for all NRF size codes. This check box is selected by default.
NRF Size Code	Enter an NRF size code for which you want to display information. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.
Results	This grid displays size information based on the selected criteria after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. Double-click a size code to select it and display information for it on the Main tab.
