Purpose

View users allowed to access a selected menu.

Overview

Use User Access Inquiry to view a list of users that can access a specific menu. For information on allowing or revoking access to menus, which controls the programs users and user groups can access, see Menu Security Maintenance and User or Group Security Maintenance.

Using the User Access Inquiry

To use the inquiry:

  1. Click the Lookup button to the right of the Module ID field, and select the module for the menu for which you want to display user access.

  2. Enter the menu name of the menu for which to display user access in the Menu Name field.

  3. Click the Show Data button in the ribbon. Users that are allowed to access the selected menu display in the Users grid.

Click this button to close the User Access Inquiry window.

Click this button to display users that are allowed to access the selected menu.

Inquiry Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Module ID

Click the Lookup button to select the module for the menu for which you want to display user access.

Menu Name

Enter a menu name for which you want to view user access, or click the Lookup button to select a menu name.

Users

This grid displays users that can access the selected menu after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. This grid includes the following columns:

  • User ID - This column displays the user ID of each user that is allowed to access the selected menu.

  • User Name - This column displays the user name of each user that is allowed to access the selected menu.

  • Defined by - This column displays the method used to define access to the selected menu for each user.
