Menu Path: System Administration Utilities User Activity Audit Trail Utility
Create an audit trail of user activity.
Use User Activity Audit Trail Utility to generate a list of all user activity for a range of dates. You can output to a caret-delimited text file or directly to Microsoft Excel. You can filter the data to only include an audit trail for a specific user ID, to exclude specific users, or to include only data for a specific program.
The audit trail file includes the following information:
Date of activity
Time of activity
User ID
User number
Data source
Program name
Notes
End time of activity
Duration of activity
Inventory transaction (if applicable)
Inventory transaction amount (if applicable)
AppServer process ID

Description |
Enter the first date in a range of dates for which to include user activity in the audit trail file, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. If you are outputting the report via Scheduling Assistant, you can select a virtual date for this field. |

Enter the last date in a range of dates for which to include user activity in the audit trail file, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. If you are outputting the report via Scheduling Assistant, you can select a virtual date for this field. |

Enter the user ID of a user for which to include user activity in the audit trail file, or click the Lookup button to select a user ID. |

Enter the user ID of a user for which you do not want to include user activity in the audit trail file, or click the Lookup button to select a user ID. It is useful to exclude a user ID if one specific user has a large amount of activity, such as creating pick demands or invoices. |

Click this button to display User List, which allows you to select specific users to exclude from the audit trail. If you click this button and select users, the check box to the right of the button is selected. |

Enter a program name if you only want to display user activity for a specific program in the audit trail file. |

Select whether to sort the data in the audit trail file by date or user. |

Enter a location and file name for the output report, or click the Lookup button to navigate to and select a location and file name. This field is only available if you select the File radio button. |

Select whether the report is run now or run by Scheduling Assistant. If you select the Schedule radio button, you can specify when the process occurs. These radio buttons are only enabled if the Disable Scheduling Assistant check box is cleared for your user ID in User Profile Maintenance. |

Scheduling Assistant Queue |
Enter an active Scheduling Assistant queue for the task, or click the Lookup button to select a Scheduling Assistant queue. This defaults to the default queue for your user ID. This field is only enabled if you select the Schedule radio button, and you are assigned to a queue other than the Default queue. |
