Purpose

Enter, view, edit, or delete customer forecast groups.

Overview

Use Customer Forecast Group Maintenance to assign customers to forecast groups for inventory forecasting, sales history, and purchasing. Every customer must be assigned to a customer forecast group.

Example You do business with Wal-Mart, Target, and numerous other smaller customers. Wal-Mart and Target electronically send you point-of-sales data and forecasts. You could set up one forecast group for Wal-Mart, one for Target, and use the default customer forecast group All Others for all your other customers.

Images\warning.gif If an existing customer is changed from one forecast group to another, a warning message appears, which informs you that this change only affects sales history going forward. If you want to recast prior forecast sales history, use Forecast Sales History Rebuild Utility (only after first checking with Apprise Customer Care).
