Purpose

View deposit and payment application batch details.

Overview

Use Deposit Batch Inquiry to display information for batches  of customer payments.

Using the Inquiry

To use Deposit Batch Inquiry:

  1. Select filter criteria for the batches you want to display.

  2. Click the Show Data button in the ribbon. The Results tab displays batches based on the filter criteria you selected in step 1.

  3. If you want to view detailed information for a selected batch, double-click it. The Batch Inquiry window appears, and displays payments made against customer's accounts relating to the selected batch, and the miscellaneous cash entries made for the batch.

Click this button to close the Deposit Batch Inquiry window.

Click this button to display data on the Results tab based on the criteria selected on the Select tab.

Select Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

All Batches

Select this check box to display all batches. This check box is selected by default.

From (Batch)

Enter a batch to display, or click the Lookup button to select a batch. If you want to display a range of batches, enter the first batch in the range. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Batches check box.

To (Batch)

Enter the last batch in a range of batches to display, or click the Lookup button to select a batch. If you want to only display a single batch, you can leave this field blank. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Batches check box.

All Batch Created Dates

Select this check box to display batches for all batch created dates. This check box is selected by default.

From (Batch Created Date)

Enter a batch created date for which to display batches, or click the drop-down arrow to select a batch created date. If you want to display batches for a range of batch created dates, enter the first date in the range. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Batch Created Dates check box.

To (Batch Created Date)

Enter the last batch created date in a range of batch created dates for which to display batches, or click the drop-down arrow to select a batch created date. If you want to display batches for only a single batch created date, you can leave this field blank. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Batch Created Dates check box.

All Created By

Select this check box to display batches created by all users. This check box is selected by default.

Created By

Enter a user ID to display batches created by that user, or click the Lookup button to select a user ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Created By check box.

List (Created-By Users)

Click this button to display User List, which allows you to select specific user IDs to display batches created by those users. This button is only enabled if you clear the All Created by check box. If you click this button and select user IDs, the check box to the right of the button is selected.

All Deposit Dates

Select this check box to display batches for all deposit dates. This check box is selected by default.

From (Deposit Date)

Enter a deposit date for which to display batches, or click the drop-down arrow to select a deposit date. If you want to display batches for a range of deposit dates, enter the first date in the range. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Deposit Dates check box.

To (Deposit Date)

Enter the last deposit date in a range of deposit dates for which to display batches, or click the drop-down arrow to select a deposit date. If you want to display batches for only a single deposit date, you can leave this field blank. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Deposit Dates check box.

All Bank Accounts

Select this check box to display batches for all bank accounts. This check box is selected by default.

Bank Account

Enter a bank account for which to display batches, or click the Lookup button to select a bank account. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Bank Accounts check box.

All Posting Periods

Select this check box to display batches for all posting periods. This check box is cleared by default.

From (Posting Period)

Click the Lookup buttons to select the first posting period and year in a range of posting periods and years for which to display batches. These Lookup buttons are only enabled if the All Posting Periods check box is cleared.

To (Posting Period)

Click the Lookup buttons to select the last posting period and year in a range of posting periods and years for which to display batches. These Lookup buttons are only enabled if the All Posting Periods check box is cleared.

Include Closed Batches

Select this check box to display closed batches. This check box is selected by default.

Batches

This grid displays detailed batch information after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. Double-click a batch to display Batch Inquiry, which allows you to view the payments made against customer's accounts relating to the selected batch, and the miscellaneous cash entries made for the batch.
