Menu Path: Customer Service Invoice Processing Pick Demand Options Pick Demand Account Resolution Update
Manually assign unresolved general ledger accounts for a transaction.
Change general ledger accounts for a transaction.
Change projects for orders.
Use Pick Demand Account Resolution Update to manually correct general ledger accounts that do not resolve automatically in Confirmed Pick Demand Inventory Adjust or Pick Demand Create and Print. If accounts do resolve correctly, you can use Pick Demand Account Resolution Update to correct the accounts used in the order entry transaction. You can change the general ledger accounts for an order that does resolve automatically. This window automatically displays the area (accounts receivable, sales, product location, etc.) and the resolution hierarchy used for the particular order selected. For more information, see Customer Service Account Resolution and General Ledger Resolution FAQ.
No invoice can be created from pick demands with unresolved general ledger accounts.
Note If pick demands display that need to be corrected, there is a problem with the setup of account resolution. You should attempt to fix the account resolution to correct the pick demands and all future pick demands. If you cannot determine the source of the problem, contact project management or customer support to help determine what needs to be corrected to avoid this problem in the future. It is a best practice to have policy and procedures in place to avoid this disruptive scenario.
To manually resolve accounts:
Enter an unresolved pick demand in the Pick Demand Confirm for field.
Double-click an account in the Account grid to view the account masks.
Enter the new account number or description in the New G/L Account or Account Description field.
Click the Correct Account button in the ribbon to save the new account.
Repeat steps 2-4 for each account until all rows have a valid account in the New Account column in the Account grid. After all the accounts have been corrected, the pick demand will no longer be available when you click the Lookup button for the Pick Demand Confirm for field.
You can also use Pick Demand Account Resolution Update to correct or update project numbers assigned to orders.
