Note You can also access this window by double-clicking a row in the Rewards Customer grid in Customer Reward Renew. However, when you do this, you can only view rewards customer information.

Purpose

Define customers that are signed up for rewards programs.

Overview

Use Reward Customer Maintenance to define rewards customers for rewards programs. A rewards customer can be a group of related customers (see Customer Maintenance).

Example Customer A, Customer B, and Customer C are all related customers. Each is set up with Reward Customer A so that their combined results will be used for reward calculations.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button

Description

Exit

Click this button to close the Reward Customer Maintenance window.

New

Click this button to create a new rewards customer.

Update

Click this button to edit the selected rewards customer.

Delete

Click this button to delete the selected rewards customer.

Show Data

Click this button to refresh data in the Rewards Customer grid. This button is only available if you click the Inquiry tab.

OK

Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

First

Click this button to display the first rewards customer for the selected rewards program ID.

Prev

Click this button to display the previous rewards customer for the selected rewards program ID.

Next

Click this button to display the next rewards customer for the selected rewards program ID.

Last

Click this button to display the last rewards customer for the selected rewards program ID.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Reward Program ID

Enter a customer rewards program ID, or click the Lookup button to select a rewards program ID. For information on setting up rewards programs, see Reward Program Maintenance.

Name (Reward Program ID)

Enter a customer rewards program name, or click the Lookup button to select a rewards program name. For information on setting up rewards programs, see Reward Program Maintenance.

Reward Customer Code

Enter a rewards customer code, or click the Lookup button to select an existing rewards customer code.

Name (Reward Customer Code)

Enter a rewards customer name, or click the Lookup button to select an existing rewards customer name.

Navigate By

Select one of the following options when using the First, Prev, Next, and Last buttons in the ribbon to navigate records:

  • Reward Program ID - Navigate by reward program ID.

  • Reward Customer Code - Navigate by reward customer code and reward start date.

Reward Level Name

Enter the name of the reward level (e.g., Elite), or click the Lookup button to select a reward level name. For information on setting up rewards levels, see Reward Level Maintenance.

Created Date

This field displays the date the rewards customer was set up.

Authorized Date

Enter the date that this customer reward setup was authorized, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

Start Date

Enter the starting date for this customer reward, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

Note Start and end dates cannot overlap for a rewards customer in a rewards program.

Previous Start Date

If this rewards customer was in this reward program for a previous period, enter the start date of the most recent previous period, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

Authorized by

Enter the user ID of the person that authorized this customer reward setup, or click the Lookup button to select a user ID.

End Date

Enter the ending date for this customer reward, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

Note Start and end dates cannot overlap for a rewards customer in a rewards program.

Previous End Date

If this rewards customer was in this reward program for a previous period, enter the end date of the most recent previous period, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

Reward Method

Select one of the following rewards methods:

  • Credit - Issues a credit memo on the customer accounts receivable.

  • Other - Use a non-monetary reward, such as a clock or pen.

Min. Net Sales Amt

Enter the minimum net sales amount that needs to be reached for this reward level. This value defaults from the minimum net sales amount set up for the rewards level in Reward Level Maintenance, but you can override it.

Previous Net Sales Amount

Enter the net sales amount associated with the previous period start/end date.

Reward Ref.#

When a Credit reward is finally issued, this is the reference number of the reward.

Max. Returns Amt

Enter the maximum amount of qualified returns (a return not associated with a customer service error). This defaults from the maximum returns amount entered for the rewards level in Reward Level Maintenance, but you can override it.

Previous Returns Amount

Enter the returns amount associated with the previous period start/end date.

Reward Amount

Enter the calculated reward amount.

Max. Returns %

Enter the maximum percentage of qualified returns (a return not associated with a customer service error). This value defaults from the maximum returns percentage set up for the rewards level in Reward Level Maintenance, but you can override it.

Previous Returns %

This field displays a calculation of the value entered in the Previous Returns Amount field divided by the sum of the value entered in the Previous Returns Amount field and the  value entered in the Previous Net Sales Amount field.

Override Reward Amount

Enter the manually overridden reward amount (if applicable).

Inquiry Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

All (Programs)

Select this check box to display rewards customers for all rewards programs in the Rewards Customers grid. This check box is selected by default.

Program ID

Enter a rewards program ID for which to display rewards customers in the Rewards Customers grid, or click the Lookup button to select a rewards program ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

Program Name

Enter a rewards program name for which to display rewards customers in the Rewards Customers grid, or click the Lookup button to select a rewards program name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

All (Reward Customers)

Select this check box to display all rewards customers in the Rewards Customers grid. This check box is selected by default.

Reward Customer Code

Enter a rewards customer code to display in the Rewards Customers grid, or click the Lookup button to select a rewards customer code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

Customer Name

Enter a rewards customer name to display in the Rewards Customers grid, or click the Lookup button to select a rewards customer name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

Rewards Customers

This grid displays rewards customers based on the selected criteria. Double-click a rewards customer to display it on the Main tab.
