Wireless Warehouse printing jobs are processed by Scheduling Assistant. To set up Wireless Warehouse printing of invoices, pack lists, receipt count sheets, and labels:
Set up one or more printers in Label Printer Control Maintenance.
Each printer can be set up using the Label or Other printer type. Label type printers are only used to print labels. Other type printers are only used to print forms, such as packing slips and bills of lading. When performing Wireless Warehouse printing, print jobs are sent to the appropriate printer based on a specific resolution order.
Example When you print labels, the software prints to your default label printer if you have one set up. If you do not, the software prints to the default printer for the zone if one is set up. If one is not, then the software prints to the default printer for the shipping location for the Wireless Warehouse task. Additionally, if there are multiple printers defined for a location or a zone, for example, if there are five label printers in the NJ shipping location, the software sends print jobs to each of the printers. The first job will go to printer 1, then subsequent print jobs will go to printer 2, printer 3, printer 4, printer 5, printer 1, printer 2, and so on.
In Location Maintenance, go to Other Options tab to set up Wireless Warehouse Print Job options.
Enter a Scheduling Assistant Queue if you want the print jobs to be run by a dedicated Scheduling Assistant Queue. This allows single or multiple workers to work on multiple jobs concurrently. This step is optional.
Enter an Email Address to receive notifications if there is a problem when processing print jobs.
NOTE Errors can also be reviewed in Warehouse Alert Management. After fixing the errors, you can resubmit the print job to Scheduling Assistant.
