Purpose

Provide warehouse managers with alerts to better control and manage tasks within the warehouse.

Overview

Use Warehouse Alert Management to dynamically alert you about critical situations within the warehouse if you are a warehouse manager. After you review an alert and resolve the underlying issue, you can mark the alert as reviewed.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button

Description

Exit

Click this button to close the Warehouse Alert Management window.

Show Data

Click this button to display alert data on the Results tab, based on the criteria selected on the Select tab.

Resubmit

Click this button to resubmit the printer demands to the Scheduling Assistant, based on the printer demand error alerts selected on the Select tab. This button is only used for printer demand error alerts.

Select Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Shipping Location

Enter a shipping location prefix for which to display alerts, or click the Lookup button to select a shipping location prefix. This defaults to the default shipping location for your user ID.

Name

Enter a shipping location name for which to display alerts, or click the Lookup button to select a shipping location name. This defaults to the default shipping location for your user ID.

Reminder Date from

Enter the first date in a range of dates for which to display alerts, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This defaults to yesterday's date.

Reminder Date to

Enter the last date in a range of dates for which to display alerts, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This defaults to today's date.

Show Status

Select one of the following:

  • Not Reviewed - Display only alerts that have not yet been reviewed.

  • Reviewed - Display only alerts that have been reviewed.

  • All Statuses - Display alerts that have and have not been reviewed.

Shorted

Select this check box to display alerts for any wireless bin move or pick that was shorted.

Bin Discrepancy

Select this check box to display alerts for any bin move put down into a bin other than the one instructed, or for picks confirmed in Pick Demand Confirm from bins other than the recommended bins.

Receipt Completed

Select this check box to display alerts for any receipt that comes into the system, excluding special order and return order receipts.

Putaway Completed

Select this check box to display alerts for when a putaway task for a specific bin and receipt number is closed. This will appear when the user has picked up the last product and is driving it to be put away.

Order Staging Completed

Select this check box to display alerts for when the last bin move of a specific warehouse wave is confirmed.

Cycle Count Shorted

Select this check box to display alerts for when a cycle count is shorted.

Receipt Count Completed

Select this check box to display alerts for when a receiving count is completed. When this alert is received, you should audit and receive the product in Receiving Count Audit.

Putaway Variance

Select this check box to display alerts for manual receipt putaway variance between received quantities and putaway quantities.

Shipper Interface Error

Select this check box to display alerts related to a shipper interface error, such as if shipping data cannot be exported or a tracking label cannot be printed.

Printer Demand Error

Select this check box to display alerts related to the printer demand error, such as if no printer or label format can be found.

Process BOL

Select this check box to display alerts for bill of lading process alerts. There is a zone task option that controls whether a bill of lading must be processed before allowing a verify and ship task.  If the option is selected to indicate that the bill of lading must be processed before loading the truck, and a user begins a verify and ship task for this bill of lading then this type of alert is created.

Complete Bill of Lading

Select this check box to display alerts when a user on a handheld does not complete a bill of lading that has been loaded on a truck.

Load Started

Select this check box to display alerts for when a user begins a verify and ship task.

Master Bill of Lading Completed

Select this check box to display alerts for when a user completes a verify and ship task for the last child on the master bill of lading and completes the master bill of lading.

BOL Fully Picked

Select this check box to display alerts for when the last pick for a bill of lading is confirmed.

Pick Demand Split off BOL

Select this check box to display alerts for pick demands split off from a bill of lading.

Results Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Auto Refresh

Select this check box to automatically refresh the alerts displayed in the Alerts grid after the number of minutes specified in the Minutes field.

Minutes

Enter the number of minutes after which to refresh alerts in the Alerts grid. This field is only enabled if the Auto Refresh check box is selected.

Alerts

This grid displays alerts based on the criteria selected on the Select tab. This grid includes the following columns:

  • Type - This column displays the alert type for each alert.

  • Reviewed - Select this check box for each alert you want to mark as reviewed.

  • Reminder Date - This column displays the reminder date for each alert.

  • Reminder Time - This column displays the reminder time for each alert.

  • User ID - This column displays the user ID for each alert.

  • Task ID - This column displays the Wireless Warehouse task ID for each alert.

  • Task Type - This column displays the associated Wireless Warehouse task for each alert.

  • Task Reference # - This column displays the transaction reference number related to the task for each alert.

  • Task Line - This column displays the task line for each alert.

  • Task Sequence - This column displays the task sequence for each alert.

  • BOL Truck Number - This column displays the bill of lading truck number for each BOL Fully Picked alert. This column is only available if you select the BOL Fully Picked check box on the Select tab.

  • Master BOL # - This column displays the master bill of lading number for each BOL Fully Picked alert. This column is only available if you select the BOL Fully Picked check box on the Select tab.

  • Product Code - This column displays the product code for each alert.

  • Product Name - This column displays the product name for each alert.

  • Product UPC - This column displays the UPC of the product for each alert.

  • GTIN - This column displays the GTIN of the product for each alert.

  • U/M Code - This column displays the unit of measure for each alert.

  • Recommended Bin - This column displays the recommended bin for each alert.

  • Putaway from Bin - This column displays the putaway from bin for each alert.

  • Zone Name - This column displays the zone name for each alert.

  • Actual Bin - This column displays the actual bin for each alert.

  • Actual Zone - This column displays the actual zone for each alert.

  • Unpicked Qty - This column displays the unpicked quantity for each alert.

  • Warehouse Wave - This column displays the warehouse wave for each alert.

  • Customer Code - This column displays the customer code for each alert.

  • Customer Name - This column displays the customer name for each alert.

  • Related Task Cancelled - The check box in this column is selected if the related task for each alert is cancelled.

  • Order Number - This column displays the order number for Shorted alerts.

  • Shipper ID - This column displays the shipper ID for shipper interface error alerts.

  • Shipper Interface - This column displays the shipper interface for shipper interface error alerts.

  • Shipper Interface Error - This column displays the error for shipper interface error alerts.

  • Printer Type - This column displays the type of the printer (Label or Other for each printer) for printer demand error alerts.

  • Printer Demand Type  - This column displays the demand type, for example, shipping labels, pick demands, pack lists, for printer demand error alerts.

  • Printer ID - This column displays the ID of the printer, as defined in Label Printer Control Maintenance, for printer demand error alerts.

  • Printer Name - This column displays the name of the printer for printer demand error alerts.

  • Printer Demand Error Type - This column displays the error type for printer demand error alerts.

  • Printer Demand Error - This column displays the error for printer demand error alerts.

  • SA Resubmitted - This column displays whether the printer demand error has been resubmitted to the Scheduling Assistant or not.

  • Printer Demand Last Update Date - This column displays the date when the printer demand was last updated. If the printer demand has been resubmitted to the scheduling assistant, then this column displays the date when the printer demand was last resubmitted.

  • Printer Demand Last Update Time - This column displays the time when the printer demand was last updated. If the printer demand has been resubmitted to the scheduling assistant, then this column displays the time when the printer demand was last resubmitted.

Double-click a shorted, bin discrepancy, or shipper interface error alert for an unconfirmed pick demand to display Pick Demand Confirm, which allows you to view and confirm the pick demand.

Double-click a shorted, bin discrepancy, or shipper interface error alert for a fully confirmed pick demand to display Pick Confirm Inquiry, which allows you to view information for the pick demand.

Double-click a shorted or bin discrepancy alert for putaway or bin replenishment to display Directed Putaway and Bin Replenish, which allows you to create, edit, and print directed putaway and replenishment demands.

Double-click a bill of lading fully picked or receipt completed alert to display Message and Putaway Task Maintenance, which allows you to create and edit message and putaway tasks.

Double-click a putaway completed alert to display Bin Inquiry, which allows you to view information for the associated bin.

Double-click a receipt count completed alert to display Receiving Count Audit, which allows you to audit the receipt count.

Double-click a process bill of lading, complete bill of lading, load started, master bill of lading completed, or pick demand split off bill of lading alert to display Bill of Lading Inquiry, which allows you to view bill of lading information.

Double-click a cycle count shorted alert to display Bin Count Details, which allows you to view products for the cycle count task.

Alerts

This field displays the total number of displayed alerts.
