Directed Putaway Setups FAQ

Question: What steps need to be taken to set up directed putaway for receiving?

Answer: Perform the following steps:

1. In Location Maintenance, select the Use Directed Putaway check box for locations for which you want to set up directed putaway.

2. In Bin Maintenance, select the Not Available Bin check box for bins you want to set up as putaway bins.

3. In Dock Maintenance, enter a directed putaway bin in the Directed Putaway Bin field for the shipping dock.

4. In Putaway Group Maintenance, set up putaway groups. For more information, see Directed Putaway FAQ.

5. In Product Location Maintenance, for products, locations, and units of measure you want to set up for directed putaway, enter putaway groups in the Putaway Group column on the Units of Measure tab.

6. In Directed Putaway and Bin Replenish, create and print directed putaway demands.

7. In Inventory Bin Move Confirm and Cancel, confirm directed putaway demands.
