Menu Path: Warehouse Management Module Setup Locations Dock Maintenance
Define and associate receiving docks with a location.
Dock Maintenance is used primarily to define receiving docks and associate those docks with a receiving (shipping) location. For more information on locations, see Sales Location / Shipping Location. Docks are considered receiving areas or truck bays where goods come in and are then placed in a designated area or bin.

Enter a directed putaway bin for the dock, or click the Lookup button to select a directed putaway bin. To use the directed putaway features, you need to receive to a dock that has a designated directed putaway bin. A directed putaway bin must be marked as a not available bin. For information on how to set up a directed putaway bin, see Bin Maintenance. For more information on setting up directed putaway, see Directed Putaway Setups FAQ. If a directed putaway bin is not defined, the software assumes products received in Receiving Entry are placed into the bin that is defined as the primary putaway bin on the Warehouse tab in Product Location Maintenance. This field is only enabled if the Use Pending Receipts Process check box is cleared on the Pending Receipts tab. |

Enter a cross-dock bin to use the cross-dock features for the dock. For information on how to set up cross dock bins, see Bin Maintenance. This field is only enabled if the Use Pending Receipts Process check box is cleared on the Pending Receipts tab. |

Enter a staging bin to use for manual receipt putaway Wireless Warehouse tasks. For more information on performing manual receipt putaway tasks, see Wireless Warehouse - Manual Receipt Putaway. Click the Lookup button to select the default printer to use for the dock for printing receiving documents. |

Click the Lookup button to select one of the following options for count sheets printed for the dock in Receiving Count Create:
This Lookup button is only enabled if the Use Pending Receipts Process check box is cleared on the Pending Receipts tab. |

Select this check box to create putaways based on license plates after completing the receipt count process. For information on using this option with Wireless Warehouse receiving, see Wireless Warehouse Receiving Process Flow. This check box is only enabled if the Use Pending Receipts Process check box is cleared on the Pending Receipts tab. |

Select this check box to require license plates for paper-based counts. Wireless counts always require license plates. This check box is only enabled if the Use Pending Receipts Process check box is cleared on the Pending Receipts tab. |

Select this check box to not use license plates for return orders. Unless you are receiving large returns and re-palletizing the returned products, you should select this check box. This check box is only enabled if the Use Pending Receipts Process check box is cleared on the Pending Receipts tab. |
