Purpose

Overview

Use Fleet Delivery Route Manifest Management to perform routing management to facilitate the picking, packing, loading, and delivery of products to customers. You can also use Fleet Delivery Route Manifest Management for tracking pick demand routes if your company uses an in-house fleet delivery system, tracking a third-party delivery system such as UPS, placing pick demands on hold, updating routes, and removing pick demands from hold. It is comprised of creating routes, waves, and stops and associating the complete route to a customer's record. Routes correspond to truck routes, stops are the stops for each route, and waves are a group of routes. The three parts involved in completing a routing record are performed in Fleet Delivery Wave Maintenance, Fleet Delivery Route Maintenance, and Fleet Delivery Stop Maintenance.

Pick Demand Create and Print allows pick demand creation by all waves and routes, and by a specific wave or route. If you select to only create pick demands (not create and print), the system will by default display these unprinted pick demands in Fleet Delivery Route Manifest Management. You can then modify pick demand routes, place pick demands on hold or release pick demands on hold, and print pick demands.

This window is used in two modes:

Images\warning.gif Changing routes in this window only changes them for the selected pick demand, not for the predefined customer route/stop records created in Fleet Delivery Stop Maintenance.

Using the Route Manifest

Fleet Delivery Route Manifest Management should be used in the same manner as Pick Demand Create and Print in that you select either all or a specific wave, all or a specific route and dates corresponding with dates that pick demands were created. This process assumes you are reviewing only those pick demand that are not printed, therefore, the Unprinted Pick Demands Only check box is selected by default. This check box can be cleared to view pick demands that have already been printed along with those that have not. You can also select to view pick demands in their default stocking unit of measure rather than their default selling unit of measure. After the Show Data button in the ribbon is clicked, all available routes that match your criteria are displayed. You can enter or change route numbers for pick demands. You can also enter notes for pick demands or export data to an Excel spreadsheet for further analysis.

If any changes are made to the status of pick demands, you must click the Update button in the ribbon to commit those changes. Alternately, you can click the Cancel button in the ribbon to remove any changes made to pick demand routes.
