Purpose

View information about a specific product lot.

Overview

Use Lot Inquiry to display information for a specific lot of a lot-tracked product, including inventory for each location, and orders and containers for the lot.

Using the Lot Inquiry

To use the inquiry:

  1. Enter a product code or name in the Product Code or Product Name field.

  2. Enter a lot in the Lot field.

  3. Click the Show Data button in the ribbon. Information for the lot displays in the Inventory, Orders, and/or Containers grids. To view additional rows of information, click the Zoom tab, and select the grid you want to view.

  4. If you want to view additional information for a lot, click the Lot Management, Lot Audit, Inventory Matrix, Additional Lot Information, and/or Lot Information Update buttons in the ribbon.

Exit

Click this button to close the Lot Inquiry window.

Show Data

Click this button to display lot information in the Inventory and Orders grids based on the selected criteria.

First

Click this button to display the first lot for the selected product.

Prev

Click this button to display the previous lot for the selected product.

Next

Click this button to display the next lot for the selected product.

Last

Click this button to display the last lot for the selected product.

Lot Management

Click this button to display Lot Management Inquiry, which allows you to view detailed information for the selected lot.

Lot Audit

Click this button to display Lot Audit Inquiry, which allows you to view audit information for the selected lot.

Inventory Matrix

Click this button to display Inventory Matrix Inquiry, which allows you to view inventory quantities for the selected product and lot.

Additional Lot Information

Click this button to display Additional Lot Information, which allows you to view manufacturer lot information for a selected lot-tracked product. If the Main tab is displayed and manufacturer lot information exists for the selected container or selected product/location, the icon for this button includes a check mark. If the Zoom tab is displayed and manufacturer lot information exists for the selected record, the icon for this button includes a check mark.

Lot Information Update

Click this button to display Lot Information Update, which allows you to edit information for the selected lot.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Product Code

Enter a product code for a lot-tracked product for which you want to view information, or click the Lookup button to select a product code. For information on setting up a lot-tracked product, see Product Maintenance.

Product Name

Enter a product name for a lot-tracked product for which you want to view information, or click the Lookup button to select a product name. For information on setting up a lot-tracked product, see Product Maintenance.

Lot

Enter a lot for which you want to view information, or click the Lookup button to select a lot.

All Lots

Click this button to display List Lots, which allows you to select a lot (including lots for which all inventory was used).

Sales Tracking #

Click this button to select a lot by sales tracking number. For more information, see Serial and Lot Tracking FAQ.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Description

Inventory

This grid displays locations for which inventory exists for the selected lot. Double-click a location to display Inventory Matrix Inquiry, which allows you to view detailed inventory information for the product and location.

Orders

This grid displays sales orders for the selected lot. Double-click an order to display Order Edit, which allows you to view and update detailed information for the order.

Note If you are not authorized to use Order Edit, the Order Entry window appears instead, and allows you to view and update information for the order. If you are not authorized to use Order Edit or Order Entry, the Order Inquiry window appears instead, and allows you to view order information for the order.

Containers

This grid displays containers for the selected lots. Double-click a container to display Container Management, which allows you to view detailed information for the container.

Work Orders

This grid displays work orders for the selected lots.

Zoom Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Zoom

Select the records you want to view. These radio buttons correspond to the grids on the Main tab.

Zoom

This grid displays counted records for the lot based on the selected Zoom option.

If the Inventory radio button is selected, you can double-click a row in the grid to display Inventory Matrix Inquiry, which allows you to view detailed inventory information for the product and location.

If the Order radio button is selected, you can double-click a row in the grid to display Order Inquiry, which allows you to view detailed information for the order.

If the Container radio button is selected, you can double-click a row in the grid to display Container Management, which allows you to view detailed information for the container.
