Purpose

Overview

Use Sales Representative by Customer Inquiry to review customer net sales and margin information for a specific sales representative based on an invoice date range.

Description

Exit

Click this button to close the Sales Representative by Customer Inquiry window.

Show Data

Click this button to display sales information on the Results tab, based on the criteria selected on the Select tab.

Credit Inquiry

Click this button to display Customer Aging and Credit Inquiry, which allows you to view aging and credit information for a selected customer. You must select a customer on the Results tab before you click this button.

Modify My Additional Filters

Click this button to display Screen Additional Filters Maintenance, which allows you to set up additional filters for the Sales Representative by Customer Inquiry window.

Select Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

All Sales Representatives

Select this check box to display sales for all sales representatives. This check box is cleared by default.

Sales Representative

Enter a sales representative ID for which to display sales, or click the Lookup button to select a sales representative ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Sales Representatives check box.

Note  If a sales representative ID is entered in the Sales Representative field in User Extended Options for your user ID, then your sales representative ID is displayed in this field, and you cannot enter a sales representative ID. This prevents sales representatives from seeing other sales representative's sales information.

From Date (Range 1)

Enter the first date in a range of dates for which you want to display sales, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

To Date (Range 1)

Enter the last date in a range of dates for which you want to display sales, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

Range 2

Select this check box if you want to compare data for two ranges of dates.

From Date (Range 2)

Enter the first date in a second range of dates for which you want to display sales, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only enabled if the Range 2 check box is selected.

To Date (Range 2)

Enter the last date in a second range of dates for which you want to display sales, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only enabled if the Range 2 check box is selected.

All Shipping Locations

Select this check box to display sales information for all shipping locations. This check box is selected by default.

Location (Shipping)

Enter a shipping location prefix or name for which to display sales, or click the Lookup buttons to select a shipping location prefix or name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Shipping Locations check box. For more information on shipping locations, see Sales Location / Shipping Location.

All Sales Locations

Select this check box to display sales information for all sales locations. This check box is selected by default.

Location (Sales)

Enter a sales location prefix or name for which to display sales, or click the Lookup buttons to select a sales location prefix or name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Sales Locations check box. For more information on sales locations, see Sales Location / Shipping Location.

All Groups

Select this check box to display sales information for all customer groups. This check box is selected by default. This check box is only enabled if you select the Customer or Division radio button.

Group

Enter a customer group ID for which to display sales, or click the Lookup button to select a customer group ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Groups check box.

Display

Select a method for displaying sales information on the Results tab. Select Customer, Group ID, or Division to display sales for customers, customer groups, or customer divisions on the Results tab.

Drill Down

Select the information to display when you drill down on data displayed in the Results tab. These radio buttons are only enabled if you select the Group ID or Division radio button. If you select the Group ID radio button, you can select to drill down to a specific customer or division. If you select the Division radio button, you can select to drill down to a specific customer or group.

Cost Type

Select a cost type option. You can select the sales cost, accounting cost, or commission cost. For more information, see Product Location Maintenance.

Currency

Click the Lookup button to select the currency for the Results tab. The currency defaults to the default general ledger currency.

Sales Representative Type

Click the Lookup button and select the type of sales representatives for which you want to display data (First or Second).

Include Cost of Products Returned and Not Restocked

Select this check box to include costs associated with returns that are not re-salable (and not put back into inventory).

Note Additional filters may appear in the My Additional Customer Filters section if customer filters are set up in Screen Additional Filters Maintenance, or set up and loaded from an additional filters template in Additional Filters Template Maintenance.

This tab may include additional customer filters if customer filters are set up in Screen Additional Filters Maintenance, or set up and loaded from an additional filters template in Additional Filters Template Maintenance.

Field or Button

Description

Customers/Groups/Divisions

This grid displays sales information for the criteria specified on the Select tab. Each row displays information for a customer, customer group, or customer division. Double-click a customer to display Customer Sales Inquiry, which allows you to view invoices for the customer. Double-click a customer group or customer division to display a second Sales Representative By Customer Inquiry window with additional information based on the drill down criterion selected on the Select tab.

R1 Total Sales

This field displays the range 1 total net sales, calculated as the sum of the total net sales values in the R1 Net Sales column in the grid.

R1 Net Margin

This field displays the range 1 total net margin, calculated as the sum of the net margin values in the R1 Net Margin column in the grid.

R1 Net Margin %

This field displays the range 1 net margin percentage, calculated as the range 1 total net margin divided by the range 1 total net sales.

R1 Total Net Units

This field displays the range 1 total net units sold, calculated as the sum of net units in the R1 Net Units column in the grid.

R2 Total Sales

This field displays the range 2 total net sales, calculated as the sum of the total net sales values in the R2 Net Sales column in the grid.

R2 Net Margin

This field displays the range 2 total net margin, calculated as the sum of the net margin values in the R2 Net Margin column in the grid.

R2 Net Margin %

This field displays the range 2 net margin percentage, calculated as the range 2 total net margin divided by the range 2 total net sales.

R2 Total Net Units

This field displays the range 2 total net units sold, calculated as the sum of net units in the R2 Net Units column in the grid.
