Unit of Measure Calculator

To use Unit of Measure Calculator, perform one of the following:

Enter a product in Inventory Bin Move, Inventory Bin Move Demand Create, One Step Inventory Location Transfer, Product Inventory Reservation Maintenance, or Customer Inventory Reservation Maintenance, and then click the U/M Calculator button in the ribbon.
Enter a product in External Supply and Demand or Inventory Quantity Adjust, and then click the U/M Calc button.
In Physical Inventory Entry, enter a physical inventory ID, click the Update button in the ribbon, and click the U/M Calculator button in the ribbon.

Purpose

Calculate equivalent quantities of two different units of measure.

Use Unit of Measure Calculator to calculate a product's quantity in one unit of measure, when you know the quantity in a different unit of measure.

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Unit of Measure Calculator window.
OK	Click this button to close the Unit of Measure Calculator window, and copy the quantity in the New Quantity field to the appropriate field in the window that was used to open the Unit of Measure Calculator window.

Field or Button	Description
Product Code	This field displays the product code for the product selected in Inventory Bin Move Demand Create or Product Inventory Reservation Maintenance.
Product Name	This field displays the product name for the product selected in Inventory Bin Move Demand Create or Product Inventory Reservation Maintenance.
Quantity	Enter the product's quantity for the unit of measure you know.
From UM	Enter the unit of measure you know, or click the Lookup button to select a unit of measure.
Plus +	Click this button to calculate the equivalent quantities in the unit of measure selected in the To UM field.
New Quantity	This field displays the calculated equivalent quantity. You can enter a new quantity in this field.
To UM	This field displays the unit of measure selected in the UM (From) field in Inventory Bin Move Demand Create or in Product Inventory Reservation Maintenance. If you want to change this unit of measure, you can change it in Inventory Bin Move Demand Create. This is the unit of measure for which you are calculating the product's quantity.
