Create Cycle Count Tasks

To use Create Cycle Count Tasks, click the Create Cycle Count Task button in the ribbon in Warehouse Task Management.

Purpose

Create cycle count tasks.

Overview

Use Create Cycle Count Tasks to create wireless warehouse cycle count tasks for bins and/or products. You can create tasks for a specific zone or all zones in a location. You can also select to include products with potential discrepancies and set a default task priority.

You can create the following Wireless Warehouse tasks:

Note You cannot create tasks for bins or products if there are already tasks for the bins or products that have not been closed. You cannot create tasks if Wireless Warehouse count tasks are not set up in Zone Task Options.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Create Cycle Count Tasks window.
New	Click this button to create a new cycle count task.
OK	Click this button to accept a new cycle count task. This button is only available after you click the New button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel creation of a new cycle count task. This button is only available after you click the New button in the ribbon.

Lookup Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Task Type	Select the type of cycle count task to create. Select one of the following options: Bin Count - Create a bin cycle count task, which is used to count all products in a bin, range of bins, or group of bins. Bin/Product Count - Create a bin/product cycle count task, which is used to count a single product or group of products in a bin, range of bins, or group of bins. Product Count - Create a product cycle count task, which is used to count a single product or group of products in all bins.
Shipping Location	This field displays the shipping location for the cycle count task. This location is selected in Warehouse Task Management.
All	Select this check box to include all zones in the selected location in the cycle count task.
Zone	Enter a zone for the cycle count task, or click the Lookup button to select a zone. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.
Include Products With Potential Discrepancies	Select this check box to create cycle count tasks for products with potential discrepancies.
Default Task Priority	Enter a default task priority. This defaults to 5.
Bin Cycle Count Group	Enter a bin cycle count group to include in the cycle count task, or click the Lookup button to select a bin cycle count group. For information on setting up bin cycle count groups, see Bin Cycle Count Group Maintenance. This field is only enabled if you select the Bin Count or Bin/Product Count radio button, and do not enter a bin number in the From or To fields.
From	Enter the first bin in a range of bins to include in the cycle count task, or click the Lookup button to select a bin. If you entered a zone in the Zone field, enter or select a bin within the entered zone. This field is only enabled if you select the Bin Count or Bin/Product Count radio button, and do not enter a bin cycle count group in the Bin Cycle Count Group field.
To	Enter the last bin in a range of bins to include in the cycle count task, or click the Lookup button to select a bin. If you entered a zone in the Zone field, enter or select a bin within the entered zone. This field is only enabled if you select the Bin Count or Bin/Product Count radio button, and do not enter a bin cycle count group in the Bin Cycle Count Group field.
Product Cycle Count Class	Enter a product cycle count class to include in the cycle count task, or click the Lookup button to select a product cycle count class. For information on setting up product cycle count classes, see Product Cycle Count Class Maintenance. This field is only enabled if you select the Bin/Product Count or Product Count radio button, and do not enter a product code or name in the Product Code or Product Name field.
Product Code	Enter a product code to include in the cycle count task, or click the Lookup button to select a product code. This field is only enabled if you select the Bin/Product Count or Product Count radio button, and do not enter a product cycle count class in the Product Cycle Count Class field.
Product Name	Enter a product name to include in the cycle count task, or click the Lookup button to select a product name. This field is only enabled if you select the Bin/Product Count or Product Count radio button, and do not enter a product cycle count class in the Product Cycle Count Class field.
