To use Zone Task Options, click the Task Options button in the ribbon in Zone Maintenance.
Note You can only change zone task options if you are in New or Edit mode in Zone Maintenance.
Assign Wireless Warehouse task options to zones and task types.
Use Zone Task Options to assign task options to warehouse zones and task types for use in the Wireless Warehouse module. For more information, see Wireless Warehouse Overview.

Select this check box to automatically assign tasks for the selected task type. If this check box is cleared, tasks for the selected task type can only be manually assigned in Warehouse Task Management. |

Enter the priority of the tasks to be done in the warehouse. The lower the priority, the sooner the task is assigned to a user. Note For message user task types, this field is disabled and the priority is set to 0. |

Clear this check box to require products to be picked in the sequence displayed on the pick ticket. This check box is only available if you select Picking in the Task Type field. |

Select this check box to allow the same serial number to be scanned or entered twice during picking or receiving. This check box is only available if you select Picking or Receipt Count in the Task Type field. |

Select this check box to prevent the product code, UPC, or GTIN to be entered or scanned during picking or receiving of products tracked by serial number. This check box is only available if you select Picking or Receipt Count in the Task Type field. |

Select this check box if you do not want to use the shipper interface with Wireless Warehouse picking tasks. If this check box is selected, the shipper interface is ignored when using Wireless Warehouse for picking (no package text files are output, no shipping rates and tracking numbers are imported, etc.). Select this check box to allow receipt count tasks to be created directly from the handheld device instead of in Receiving Count Create. |

Enter a recount variance amount. If the monetary difference between the system count and the physical cycle count of a product in a specific bin is greater than or equal to this amount, the product in that bin is recounted. This is used in conjunction with the recount variance percentage rule. This field is only available if you select Bin Count, Bin/Product Count, or Product Count in the Task Type field. For more information, see Cycle Count Rules Hierarchy FAQ. |

Enter an active Scheduling Assistant queue for creating/printing pick demands for order staging tasks, or click the Lookup button to select a Scheduling Assistant queue. If this field is blank, the Default queue is used. This field is only available if you select Order Staging in the Task Type field. When printing pick demands using Scheduling Assistant, the software uses the following hierarchy to determine the printer:

Select this check box to allow users to merge multiple order staging tasks from a handheld device (typically, when performing order staging for small direct-to-consumer orders). This check box is only available if you select Order Staging in the Task Type field. |

This check box is only available if you select Putdown in the Task Type field. Note If a user is performing a putdown task after performing a task for which recommended putaway bins cannot be determined (such as a self-directed move), they must specify a bin. |

Select one of the following line entry options for self-directed moves:
This field is only available if you select Self Directed Move in the Task Type field, and is only enabled if you select the Enter Quantity radio button. |

Select this check box to require a scan when a package or pallet is being picked up for loading into the truck. The reason you would scan at this point is to avoid moving an incorrect package or pallet onto a truck, and then having to remove it (there could be a lot of wasted time and energy). This field is only available if you select Verify and Ship in the Task Type field. |

Select whether to use no load order or a reverse stop load order. Use a reverse stop load order to require that products that will be delivered last are put on the truck first. If you select reverse stop load order, Wireless Warehouse users that use the verify and ship task must load products for child bills of lading in this order. This field is only available if you select Verify and Ship in the Task Type field. Example Your company sells large pieces of furniture and delivers to several customers on a route. It is important to load the furniture on the truck in reverse stop load order so that the furniture can be unloaded at each stop. |

This grid displays task types for the selected zone, and the task option, default priority, and quantity scan options for each task type. Double-click a task type to display all the options for it above the grid. |
You must have selected the Picking task type to enable this tab. A warehouse manager or supervisor can allow multi-order picking for a few zones that cater to small direct to customer (D2C) orders as zones that have bulk orders do not require merging of picking tasks.
The picking tasks are merged based on the following rules:

Automatically Merge Picking Tasks During Pick Demand Creation |
When you select the Allow Merging of Picking Tasks check box, this check box is selected automatically. This results in automatic merging of picking tasks based on the rules for that zone during creation of pick demand in Pick Demand Create and Print. If you want to merge the picking tasks manually, clear this check box. You can merge picking tasks manually in Warehouse Task Management. |
Set the maximum volume limit per merged task. A picking task cannot be merged if it crosses this limit. Enter the unit of measure in the empty field next to this field. Example If your company wants the total volume of the pick demands in a task to not exceed 100 cuft, then enter this value. |

Set the maximum weight limit per merged task. A picking task cannot be merged if it crosses this limit. Enter the unit of measure in the empty field next to this field. Example If your company wants the total weight of the pick demands in a task to not exceed 100 lbs, then enter this value. |

Set the maximum limit for number of orders per merged task. A picking task cannot be merged if it crosses this limit. Example If your company wants a merged picking task to not exceed 6 orders, then enter this value. |

Set the maximum limit for unit quantity per merged task. A picking task cannot be merged if it crosses this limit. Example If your company wants a merged picking task to not exceed 20 units, then enter this value. |

Select this check box to merge picking tasks that have the same child Bill of Lading on a merged picking task. The picking tasks that have different child Bills of Lading cannot be merged. |

Select this check box to merge picking tasks based on the carton codes. However, you must have enabled cartonization as the system runs cartonization for the pick demands first and then merges the picking tasks. For more information, see Cartonization FAQ. |
