Wireless Warehouse - Pending Receipt Create

Wireless Warehouse pending receipt create tasks are performed with a handheld device. When you perform a pending receipt create task, the handheld appears, as follows:

Purpose

Create a pending receipt.

Overview

Use the pending receipt create task to create a new pending receipt, which allows you to indicate products are received into the pending receipt dock in the warehouse from a purchase order or container. This task is self-initiated from the handheld device. You can enter the pending receipt information by scanning, or by manually typing it.

Note This task is equivalent to using Receiving Entry to create a pending receipt.

You can also use this task to build license plates for a previously created pending receipt.

Performing the Task

To perform a pending receipt create task:

At the Wireless Warehouse Handheld Menu, enter Initiate Task. The Initiate Task screen appears. For more information on this screen, see Wireless Warehouse Handheld Menu.
Enter Pending Receipt Create. The pending receipt create task screen appears.
Scan the pending receipt dock where product is being received, or enter the dock in the Dock field.
Scan the bin in which the product is being received, or enter the bin in the Bin field.
Scan the pending receipt type, or enter the pending receipt type in the Type field.
Scan the purchase order or container, or enter the purchase order or container in the Ref # field. The screen changes to allow you to scan/enter product and license plate information.
Scan the product, or enter the product code, UPC, or GTIN in the SKU field. If you scan or enter a UPC that is associated with multiple product codes, a new handheld screen appears, which allows you to select the appropriate product code. If this screen appears, click a row in the grid to select a product. If the product, UPC, or GTIN has an associated unit of measure, the unit of measure is automatically entered in the U/M field.
If the unit of measure is not automatically entered, enter the unit of measure for the product in the U/M field.
If the license plate is not automatically entered in the License Plate field, scan the license plate or enter it in the field. If the field is disabled and you want to use a new license plate, select Tools $Images\bluerarw.gif$ Next License Plate.
If you are not required to scan each unit of the product, enter the quantity received in the Qty field. Put the product on a pallet (license plate) as you count it.
Repeat steps 7 to 10 for all received products.
When you are finished receiving all products for the receipt count demand, select Tools $Images\bluerarw.gif$ Done. You have completed the task and the Initiate Task menu appears.

Fields

Field	Description
Dock	Scan or enter the pending receipt dock name for the pending receipt. For information on setting up docks, see Dock Maintenance. Note You can only create a pending receipt for a dock with a pending receipt bin in a zone for which the pending receipt create task is set up in Zone Task Options.
Bin	Scan or enter the bin name for the pending receipt. The bin must be currently empty (or already associated with a pending receipt) and must be a pending receipt bin. If the bin is already associated with the pending receipt, you can build license plates for the existing pending receipt. For information on setting up bins, see Bin Maintenance.
Type	Scan or enter one of the following pending receipt types: PO - Create a pending receipt for a specific purchase order. Container - Create a pending receipt for a specific container.
Ref #	Scan or enter the purchase order or container for the pending receipt. Enter the reference number that corresponds to the selected pending receipt type.
SKU	Scan or enter the product code, UPC, or GTIN. This field is only available after you scan/enter the purchase order or container.
U/M	Enter the unit of measure for the product. The unit of measure is automatically entered if you scan the product, or enter a product's UPC or GTIN that is associated with a unit of measure. This field is only available after you scan/enter the purchase order or container.
License Plate ID	Scan or enter the license plate number. Each license plate number is used for a separate pending receipt create task. If this field is disabled, and you want to use a new license plate, select Tools $Images\bluerarw.gif$ Next License Plate. This field is disabled and the license plate number is automatically generated if Auto Generate License Plate is selected in the License Plate Option field in Zone Task Options for the pending receipt create task and zone. Note You cannot enter two different products using the same license plate if the No Mixed Pallets check box is selected for the pending receipt create task and zone in Zone Task Options. This field is only available after you scan/enter the purchase order or container.
Qty	Enter the quantity received. This field is only enabled if the Enter Quantity radio button is selected for the pending receipt create task and zone in Zone Task Options. This field is only available after you scan/enter the purchase order or container.

Tools Menu

Menu Command	Description
Done	Select this option when you have completed the pending receipt create task. Selecting this option marks the pending receipt create task as complete. This option is only available after you scan or enter the purchase order or container.
Next License Plate	Select this option to generate or enter the next license plate number. If Auto Generate License Plate is selected in the License Plate Option field in Zone Task Options for the pending receipt create task, selecting this option generates a new license plate number. If the license plate number is not automatically generated, you can scan or enter a license plate number.
Menu	Select this option to return to the Initiate Task menu. For more information on the menu, see Wireless Warehouse Handheld Menu. This option is only available after you scan/enter the purchase order or container.
