To use PO Item Receipt, perform one of the following:

Purpose

Receive products.

Overview

Use PO Item Receipt to enter receipt quantities and the receiving bin for a product. For details of how to process receipts, see Processing Receipts.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button

Description

OK

Click this button to close the PO Item Receipt window and enter the receipt.

Delete

Click this button to close the Purchase Order Receipt window without entering a receipt.

Bin Inquiry

Click this button to display Bin Inquiry, which allows you to view information about bin contents.

Add Charges

Click this button to display Receipt Charge Entry, which allows you to create additional charges for receipt line items. The icon for this button includes a check mark if additional charges exist for the receipt.

Additional Lot Information

Click this button to display Additional Lot Information, which allows you to enter manufacturer lot information for a selected lot-tracked product. The icon for this button includes a check mark if manufacturer lot information exists.

Notes

Click this button to display Notes Entry, which allows you to view and enter notes for a receipt. The icon for this button includes a check mark if notes exist for the receipt.

Remarks

Click this button to display Remark Entry, which allows you to view and enter remarks to be placed on documents related to a receipt.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Product

These fields display the product code and name. You can use the up and down arrows at the bottom of the window to navigate through products for the receipt.

Expected Qty

These fields display the expected quantity, the unit of measure code, and the unit of measure for the product.

Receipt Qty

Enter the quantity received of the product. You can click the Lookup button to change the unit of measure.

Bin

Enter the bin into which the product is being received, or click the Lookup button to select a bin.

Note This field is disabled for service products because there is no physical product to receive into a bin.

Enter

Click this button to enter the receipt.

Serial #

Enter the serial number, or click the Lookup button to select a serial number. This field is only available if the product is tracked by serial number.

Lot

Enter the lot for the product, or click the Lookup button to select a lot. This field is only available if the product is tracked by lot.

Lot Desc

Enter a lot description. This field is only available for products tracked by lot.

Serial Expires

Enter the date the serial number for the product expires, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only available if the product is tracked by serial number.

Lot Expires

Enter the expiration date of the received product, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only available for products tracked by lot.

Best Before Date

Enter the date that the product is best before, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only available for products tracked by lot.

Receipt Weight

Enter the receipt weight. This field is only available for products for which catch weights are tracked.

Use Directed Putaway

Select this check box to use directed putaway. For set up information required to use directed putaway during the receiving process, see Directed Putaway Setups FAQ.

Receipts

This grid displays receipts for the product.

Total Received

These fields display the total received quantity, the unit of measure code, and the unit of measure for the received product.

Receipt Complete

Select this check box to mark the receipt complete.

Note You cannot mark a purchase order line item as receipt complete if there is an unreceived container for the purchase order line item.
