Purpose

View information about a selected bin.
View quantity, lot, and serial number information about products in a selected bin.
View detailed information about individual products in a selected bin.

Overview

Use Bin Inquiry to display information about a bin and the products in the bin for a specific location. It allows you to display quantities on hand and available quantities for each product in the selected bin. You can also display lot and serial number detail information for the selected bin.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Bin Inquiry window.
Show Data	Click this button to display bin information on the Results tab.
First	Click this button to enter the first bin for the selected location on the Select tab or display information for the first bin on the Results tab.
Prev	Click this button to enter the previous bin for the selected location on the Select tab or display information for the previous bin on the Results tab.
Next	Click this button to enter the next bin for the selected location on the Select tab or display information for the next bin on the Results tab.
Last	Click this button to enter the last bin for the selected location on the Select tab or display information for the last bin on the Results tab.

Select Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Location Prefix	Enter a location prefix for which to display bin information, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix.
Name	Enter a location name for which to display bin information, or click the Lookup button to select a location name.
Bin	Enter a bin ID for which to display bin information, or click the Lookup button to select a bin ID. Bins are defined and maintained in Bin Maintenance. Bins are assigned to a product in Product Maintenance and assigned to a product/location record in Product Location Maintenance.
Display Zero Qty	Select this check box to display products with zero quantities.
Lot Detail	Select this check box to display product information broken down by lot.
Serial # Detail	Select this check box to display product information broken down by serial number.
Zone	This field displays the zone associated with the selected bin.
Velocity	This field displays the velocity ID for the selected bin.
Activity Percent	This field is slated for functionality in a future release.
Warehouse Area	This field displays the warehouse area associated with the selected bin. For information on setting up warehouse areas, see Warehouse Area Maintenance.
Bin Sequence	This field displays the sequence number for the selected bin, which is used to create an efficient pick path through a warehouse or zone.
Description	This field displays a detailed description of the selected bin.
Not Available Bin	This check box is selected if the selected bin is not available for picking and replenishment.
Speed Bin Override	This check box is selected if the selected bin is used first for pick demand creation, regardless of the required unit of measure.
Laydown Bin	This check box is selected if the selected bin can be used when picking or moving products.
Cross Dock Bin	This check box is selected if the selected bin is a cross-dock bin. If this check box is selected, the bin can be selected as a cross-dock bin in Dock Maintenance.
Bin Holds Raw Materials Only	This check box is selected if no inventory from the selected bin can be allocated during pick demand printing.
Do Not Pick from This Bin	This check box is selected if the selected bin is not used for picking.
Potential Discrepancy	This check box is selected if the bin has a potential inventory discrepancy.
Can Break Inventory	This check box is selected if products in the selected bin can be broken down into smaller units of measure or built up into larger units of measure.
Staging Bin	This check box is selected if the selected bin is a staging bin.
User Bin	This check box is selected if the selected bin is only used for wireless warehouse users as a temporary bin when picking or moving products.
Do not Issue Material	This check box is selected if component products are not allowed to be issued from this bin when issuing material for manufacturing.
Pending Receipt Bin	This check box is selected if the bin is used for the pending receipt process. If this check box is selected, the bin will only store inventory for containers and purchase orders that are in the process of being received and put away.
Height Capacity	This field displays the height and unit of measure for the selected bin.
Cubic Capacity	This field displays the volume value and unit of measure for the selected bin.
Width Capacity	This field displays the width and unit of measure for the selected bin.
Weight Capacity	This field displays the weight threshold and weight unit of measure for the selected bin.
Length Capacity	This field displays the length and unit of measure for the selected bin.
Bin Cycle Count Group	This field displays the bin cycle count group for the selected bin. You can use bin cycle count groups to group together similar bins in the same zone or sales location / shipping location for Wireless Warehouse cycle counting. Results Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Products	This grid displays information about the products in the selected bin, including the quantity on hand and available. The quantity available is calculated as the difference between the quantity on hand and the quantity allocated. Quantities that are allocated have been ordered on a sales order, but have not yet been shipped. Double-click a product to display Inventory Matrix Inquiry.
Product	These fields display the product code and name for the product selected in the Products grid.
Pick Bin Min. Level	This field displays the minimum pick bin level for the product selected in the Products grid.
Unit Weight	This field displays the weight and weight unit of measure for the product selected in the Products grid.
Pick Bin	This field displays the pick bin for the product selected in the Products grid.
Cube	This field displays the volume and weight unit of measure for the product selected in the Products grid.
Putaway Bin	This field displays the putaway bin for the product selected in the Products grid.
Density	This field displays the density for the product selected in the Products grid.
Density Mass Basis	This field displays the density mass basis for the product selected in the Products grid.
Volume Basis	This field displays the volume basis for the product selected in the Products grid.
Units of Measure	This grid displays unit of measure information for the product selected in the Products grid.
