Purpose

Import data from a third-party WMS.

Overview

Use WMS Import to the following information into Apprise from a third-party WMS:

You can schedule data to be imported on a recurring basis using Scheduling Assistant, or by using the Client as an import processing Server. You can purge imported data that is no longer needed in Purge Data Utility.

Importing WMS Data

To import WMS data:

  1. Enter the location prefix or name that uses the WMS in the Location Prefix or Location Name field.

  2. If you want to import WMS data using Scheduling Assistant or using the Client as a Server, select the Schedule or Server Mode radio button. If you do not want to import WMS data using Scheduling Assistant, skip to step 5.

  3. Click the Schedule Job button in the ribbon. The Task Schedule Options window appears.

  4. Specify the schedule for importing WMS data, and then click the OK ribbon button.

  5. If you are using Server Mode, enter a frequency for the import process, and then click the Start Processing button in the ribbon. Otherwise, click the Import button in the ribbon. WMS data is imported into Apprise.

Exit

Click this button to close the WMS Import window.

Import

Click this button to start the import process or to send the import job to Scheduling Assistant.

Schedule Job

Click this button to display Task Schedule Options, which allows you to set up the schedule for importing with Scheduling Assistant. This button is only available if you select the Schedule radio button.

Start Processing

Click this button to start the import process based on the entered frequency. This button is only available if you select the Server Mode radio button.

Stop Processing

Click this button to stop import processing. This button is only available after you click the Start Processing button in the ribbon.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Location Prefix

Enter a location prefix for which to import WMS data, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix.

Location Name

Enter a location name for which to import WMS data, or click the Lookup button to select a location name.

Pick Confirm

Select this check box to import pick demand confirmation information. This check box is selected by default if the pick demand confirmation transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Pick Cancel

Select this check box to import pick demand cancellation information. This check box is selected by default if the pick demand cancellation transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

WMS Status

Select this check box to import pick demand status update information. This check box is selected by default if the pick demand status update transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Receipt

Select this check box to import receipt information. This check box is selected by default if the receipt transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Receipt Count

Select this check box to import receipt count information. This check box is selected by default if the receipt count transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Material Confirm

Select this check box to import material confirmation information. This check box is selected by default if the material confirmation transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Material Cancel

Select this check box to import material cancellation information. This check box is selected by default if the material cancellation transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

WO Confirm

Select this check box to import work order confirmation information. This check box is selected by default if the work order confirmation transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Bin Move

Select this check box to import inventory bin move information. This check box is selected by default if the inventory bin move transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Inventory Qty Adjust

Select this check box to import inventory quantity adjustment information. This check box is selected by default if the inventory quantity adjustment transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

One Step Location Transfer

Select this check box to import one-step inventory transfer information. This check box is selected by default if the one-step inventory transfer transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Inventory Qoh Comparison

Select this check box to import inventory quantity-on-hand comparison information. This check box is selected by default if the inventory quantity-on-hand comparison  transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

WMS Confirm

Select this check box to import WMS confirmation information. This check box is selected by default if the WMS confirmation transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Return

Select this check box to import return receipt information. This check box is selected by default if the return receipt transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Package

Select this check box to import package information. This check box is selected by default if the package transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Work Order Inventory Adjust

Select this check box to import work order inventory adjustment information. This check box is selected by default if the work order inventory adjust transaction is enabled for the selected location in Location Maintenance.

Process

Select whether the data is generated by the client, Scheduling Assistant, or the client running as a server that can process imports on a scheduled frequency.

If you select Schedule, you can specify when the task occurs by clicking the Schedule Job button in the ribbon.

If you select Server Mode, you can specify the frequency of the process and monitor when the import process is run.

Frequency

Enter the frequency (in minutes) when the import process should occur. This field is only available if the Server Mode radio button is selected, and is only enabled if processing is stopped.

Current Status

This field displays the current status of the Server Mode import processing. This field is only available if the Server Mode radio button is selected.

Last Process

This field displays the last process that was run. This field is only available if the Server Mode radio button is selected.

Last Date

This field displays the last date the import process was run. This field is only available if the Server Mode radio button is selected.

Last Time

This field displays the last time the import process was run. This field is only available if the Server Mode radio button is selected.

Intervals Elapsed

This field displays the number of intervals elapsed. This field is only available if the Server Mode radio button is selected.
