To use Lifecycle Data Entry, perform one of the following:

Purpose

Enter data for a workflow.

Overview

Use Lifecycle Data Entry to perform data entry for a selected workflow. For each field, a check mark appears when you have completed the data entry.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button

Description

OK

Click this button to close the Lifecycle Data Entry window and save the data you enter in it.

Cancel

Click this button to close the Lifecycle Data Entry window without saving any of the data you have entered.

Notes

Click this button to display Notes Entry, which allows you to view and enter notes for a selected workflow.

Attachments

Click this button to display Attachment Entry, which allows you to view and enter attachments for a workflow.

Auto Generate UPC/GTIN

Click this button to generate UPC's and GTIN's for a product project workflow for a product. This button is only available for workflows for the Product Project workflow type and the Product workflow level.

Note Options for UPC and GTIN generation are set up in Warehouse Management Control Maintenance. This button is disabled if both the Automatic UPC Generation and Automatic GTIN Generation check boxes are cleared in Warehouse Management Control Maintenance.

When you click this button, the Question dialog box appears, and asks you to confirm that you want to generate UPC's and GTIN's. Click the Yes button to generate UPC's and GTIN's.

Note Other ribbon buttons may also be available if the buttons were set up in Ribbon Link Maintenance.

Reference #

This field displays the reference number for the selected workflow.

Name

This field displays the product project name if the workflow is for a product project.

Description

This field displays the product project description if the workflow is for a product project.

History

Click this button for a task to display Lifecycle Audit Trail Inquiry, which allows you to view the audit trail of changes for the task.

Tab Fields and Buttons

The tabs and fields in this window vary based on the selected workflow. Enter the data that is appropriate for the workflow. You may need to enter data on multiple tabs to complete the workflow.

A icon appears to the right of a field if a task is not completed.

A icon appears to the right of a field if a task is completed.

You can click either icon to mark a task as completed or not completed.
