To set up CRM in Apprise:
In Customer Service Control Maintenance, select the Export CRM Task Appointments check box if you want to export CRM tasks to Outlook as appointments. If you select this check box, enter the email address of the organizer for CRM task appointments in the CRM Organizer Email field.
In Market Group and Segment Import or Market Group and Segment Maintenance, set up market groups and market segments so that you can group products and customers for CRM tasks.
In Market Group and Segment Import or Customer Maintenance, assign customers to market groups and market segments. You can also assign prospects to market groups and market segments in Prospect Maintenance, and set up customer templates for specific market groups and market segments in Customer Template Maintenance.
In Market Group and Segment Import or Product Maintenance, assign products to market groups and market segments. You can also set up product categories for specific market groups and market segments in Product Category Maintenance.
In CRM Task Definition, set up CRM task types for each activity that will be performed (calling a prospect, mailing a catalog, etc.).
In Campaign Type Definition, set up campaign types that will be performed (call specific prospects, mail a catalog to specific customers, etc.).
In Contact Maintenance or Contact Import, specify communication methods for each customer/prospect contact (call, fax, mail, etc.), and enter any CRM notes.
In User Extended Options, select the Allowed to view other user's CRM tasks check box for users who will manage and assign CRM tasks for other users.
If CRM tasks will be performed using the Word Mail Merge feature, which allows you to send a document to a list of recipients, store Mail Merge documents in Mail Merge Control Maintenance.
