You can use Wireless Warehouse to perform picking in your warehouse. Depending on your company's needs, there are four main process flows for using Wireless Warehouse to perform picking:
Picking Without Advanced Packaging - Use this process if you do not use the Advanced Packaging feature. This is the simplest workflow.
Picking with Advanced Packaging (pick pack) - Use this process to organize products on pick demands into packages, and track the package numbers. For information on enabling the Advanced Packaging feature, see Advanced Packaging FAQ.
Picking with Cartonization - Use this process if you want the software to calculate the cartons to use during picking based on the size and weight of the picked products and the size and weight capacities of cartons. For more information, see Cartonization FAQ.
Picking with Pre-Printed Package Labels - Use this process if UCC128 package labels are needed before picking. This process automatically creates packages for everything on a pick demand.
For more information about multi-order picking, see Wireless Warehouse Multi-Order Picking Process Flow.
To perform the picking process without the Advanced Packaging feature, use the following steps:
Set up zone options for Wireless Warehouse picking.
In Zone Maintenance, select a zone in which picking will occur, and click the Update button in the ribbon.

If you need to stop picking to put products into the laydown bin, select Tools Putdown, then scan the laydown bin, or enter the bin name in the Bin field. You can then resume picking, but you must use the same laydown bin.
If the bin from which you are picking does not contain the expected quantity of the product (i.e, there is no more product on a shelf), select Tools Short, confirm that you want to mark the pick quantity as short of the expected quantity, and then continue picking any other products for the pick demand.
If all products for the task are picked, all fields except the Bin field are hidden, and you can continue to the next substep.
